A 7.0-inch infotainment system comes standard on DL40 D-Max models, and there’s an upgraded 9.0-inch version reserved for the ultimate V-Cross. 2024 Isuzu D-Max : Engine
The Isuzu D-Max comes with a 162bhp 1.9-liter diesel engine. That may not be enough, but even in its bulkiest double-cab form, it can carry a heavier maximum load than the equivalent Ford Ranger. Isuzu pulls the engine out of the low rev range, but it quickly wears out. It doesn’t feel slower than an entry-level Toyota Hilux, but the most powerful versions of it and the Ranger hit highway speeds much faster. The D-Max also has a very short first gear on manual models, and the six-speed automatic hesitates before shifting into gear.

The 2024 D-Max is the best of the bunch in terms of safety, receiving a full five stars from Euro NCAP. Hilux also has five stars, but it has been tested under the legacy regime and its security software is not as comprehensive as that of D-Max.
