2025 Jeep Cherokee
The 2025 Jeep Cherokee is a line of SUVs manufactured and sold by Jeep. Originally sold as a variant of the Jeep Wagoneer, the Cherokee evolved from a full-size SUV to one of the first compact SUVs and its current generation as a crossover SUV. However, the Grand Cherokee still exists and is a mid-size SUV with two rows of seating, off-road capability, and a variety of models, with good looks and a stylish interior, and has standard safety technology. The Cherokee’s starting price is currently more expensive than rivals like the Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-5, and Kia Sportage, the Jeep at least makes up for some of that with standard appointments.
The Altitude Lux comes standard with leather seats, a heated steering wheel, and a remote start. Not only does the Trailhawk feel tougher, it’s also more durable thanks to the standard Jeep Active Drive Lock, which upgrades the drivetrain with a special traction mode to lock the rear differential and get out of particularly muddy or rocky situations. The Trailhawk also has nearly an extra inch of ground clearance, aggressive tires, and a larger infotainment screen.
A 270-hp turbocharged four-cylinder offered only for the Trailhawk replaces the old V-6 and improves fuel economy ratings. Available in two versions, Altitude Lux and Trailhawk, the Cherokee completely abandons the front wheelbase of the previous standard Cherokee, which significantly affected its starting price. Also gone is the 271-hp V-6, replaced by a 270-hp 2.7-liter turbocharged inline-four that’s only ready for off-road performance. Available for the Trailhawk version.
2025 Jeep Cherokee : Interior
Inside, the Jeep Cherokee has a comfortable interior with leather seats, a built-in media center, and the latest technology. The Jeep’s high ride height, it’s harder to load things into the back than some of its rivals. Additionally, its cargo space is significantly less than its main rivals, such as the Ford Escape and Honda CR-V. Jeep’s available Uconnect infotainment system is one of the best in the business, with well-organized menus and extensive options. The standard touch screen is 8.4 inches, comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a subscription-based Wi-Fi hotspot.
The Grand Cherokee has 37.7 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row of seats, which is average for a midsize SUV. The rear seats can also be split and folded to load larger items. For some people, the high luggage height may be the only obstacle. There’s plenty of storage space for smaller items, with plenty of cupholders in the first and second rows and spacious cubbies in the center console. There is plenty of room for a car seat in the back. The outboard seats feature two sets of anchors that are easily accessible behind the classic leather upholstery. The Jeep Grand Cherokee offers above-average towing capacity with a maximum capacity of 6,200 pounds.
