The Seltos’ infotainment setup has changed drastically for 2024; The new and seamless panel, which covers two-thirds of the front panel, serves as both a digital display screen and an infotainment touch screen. Kia offers two different four-cylinder engines in the 2025 Seltos, a 2.0-liter engine producing 146 horsepower or a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine producing 195 horsepower. The Seltos had a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine and found its power to be more than adequate. At our test track, the turbocharged Seltos hit 60 mph in 6.9 seconds. While the base engine is mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), the turbo comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The EPA estimates the Seltos will deliver highly efficient MPG figures. Highway fuel economy is estimated as high as 34 mpg for 2.0-liter four-cylinder front-wheel-drive models. On our 75-mph highway fuel economy test route, the turbocharged 1.6-liter all-wheel-drive Seltos managed 32 mpg.

The Kia Seltos gets mostly good marks from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave this LATCH system its second-highest rating of Acceptable for ease of use because the lower anchor points are located so deep in the seats. It also comes with standard driver assistance features such as lane keeping assist, forward automatic emergency braking, and automatic high beam headlights.
