2025 Lotus Evija
The 2025 Lotus Evija is a limited edition electric sports car produced by British automaker Lotus Cars. The Lotus Evija 2025 is part of a new wave of high-powered, high-priced electric hypercars. The 2025 Evija is considered one of the most powerful production cars in the world, with 1,972 horsepower from four electric motors. Evija’s exterior design is inspired by nature and the aviation industry. The Evija has a low body, sharp front edges, straight headlights with laser light technology, and dihedral doors without handles.
The rear of the Evija is quite impressive, with its venturi ducts and a striking LED rim. Active aerodynamics, including a rear spoiler and an F1-style Drag Reduction System, further improve the car’s performance. The Lotus Evija is 175.6 inches long, 78.4 inches wide, and 44.2 inches tall with a curb weight of 1,680 kilograms (3,704 pounds). The Lotus Evija is priced at around $2.2 million in the US and other customization options are available. However, production is limited to only 130 units, making it a very special and sought-after car.
2025 Lotus Evija : Interior
The cockpit inside the Evija has a unique racing-inspired design, offering two seats with carbon fiber shell seats and different materials and colors. The steering wheel is rectangular and resembles an F1 car, and there is a digital display for important information. The Lotus Evija seats two passengers and its cabin is accessed via two dihedral doors. These doors are handleless and operate using a key fob to keep the car clean, and in good shape. Evija’s electrically adjustable front seats feature a carbon fiber shell and thick pads lined with microfiber. The driver can manually adjust the tilt and height of the steering column, and there are two special storage areas near the passenger hip areas.
All Evija hypercars come with technological features such as Bluetooth connectivity and an infotainment system. A Digital Display in front of the steering wheel provides the driver with relevant information such as battery charge and remaining type. This is a car screen only. The Evija comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities, and Lotus has included a built-in modem that helps connect to the cloud. A smartphone app is available that allows drivers to monitor the Evija from anywhere, checking things like battery charge status and driving distance.
2025 Lotus Evija : Engine
The Lotus Evija is powered by an electric powertrain, electric motors can produce a total of 1972 horsepower and 1254 pound-feet of torque. That’s almost double the horsepower offered by more expensive hypercars like the Aston Martin Valkyrie. A single-speed automatic transmission handles everything and sends power to all wheels. The curb weight of the car is designed to improve handling. Evija is equipped with technology designed to make charging the battery almost as fast as filling it up at the gas pump. It takes just 12 minutes for the car to charge up to 80 percent and just 18 minutes for a full charge. Lotus said it expects its hypercar to offer a driving range of 250 miles in the European WLPT test; That’s more optimistic than the EPA-grade tests we’ve done on this side of the Atlantic. Since the Evija is not street-legal, it is unlikely that the EPA will measure its fuel efficiency.
2025 Lotus Evija : Safety
The Lotus Evija is built with a strong carbon fiber chassis and includes airbags, carbon ceramic brake discs, electronic stability control, and a rearview camera. Driver-assistance technology is becoming increasingly common in modern performance cars, given its dedicated and high-performance stance, the Evija lacks advanced driver-assistance features. Evija crash test results will be available on the websites of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
