2025 Lotus Eletre
The 2025 Lotus Eletre is a full-size crossover battery-powered SUV produced by British sports car manufacturer Lotus Cars. The 2025 Lotus Eletre is a high-performance all-electric SUV that marks a significant departure from Lotus’ focus on lightweight sports cars. The Lotus Eletre still delivers strong acceleration thanks to the electric motors that produce at least 603 horsepower. Lotus aims to compete with other electric SUVs including the Audi e-tron and BMW iX, but the Eletre bears more than a passing resemblance to the jaw-dropping Lamborghini Urus.
The Eletre is positioned to compete with other premium electric SUVs by targeting eco-conscious buyers who prioritize performance and sustainability. The Lotus Eletre represents a major product shift into the electric vehicle segment, combining Lotus’ engineering strengths with the evolving needs of the automotive industry. Lotus has promised to continue Lotus’ reputation for delivering exciting driving dynamics in a stable package, aiming to offer enthusiasts looking for an electric SUV that delivers performance and practicality.
2025 Lotus Eletre : Interior
The interior of the Lotus Eletre is expected to prioritize comfort, space, and premium materials. Advanced infotainment systems, connectivity options, and driver assistance technologies were expected to be included to improve the driving experience and ownership. The Eletre will be offered as a four-seater with two separate buckets in the back or as a five-seater with a three-seater rear bench. Lotus Eletre‘s interior features interesting materials such as microfiber, stitched leather, wool-combined fabric, and brushed brass details. Overall, the interior is surprisingly luxurious, considering Lotus’ typical stripped-down, lightweight interior.
The sports seats are comfortable for long-distance driving and the switchgear is made of aluminum with curved details that wouldn’t look out of place in a Bentley. A large 15.1-inch touchscreen dominates the dashboard and will use a version of parent company Geely ECARX’s infotainment system shared with the Smart #1 SUV, which can be sold in America. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be standard, while a premium display and an upgraded sound system with 23 speakers and 1,500 watts will also be available.
2025 Lotus Eletre : Engine
The Lotus Eletre base powertrain is a dual-motor all-wheel drive that produces 603 horsepower. The Eletre comes in three trims: the base model, S, and R. All models are equipped with a large 112 kWh battery that supports fast DC up to 350 kW. The Base and S trims offer a dual-motor powertrain that produces 603 horsepower and 524 pound-feet of torque and an estimated driving range of 315 miles. The top trim level R steps things up with a three-motor setup that produces 905 horsepower and 726 pound-feet of torque. The Lotus Eletre R can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds.
After a test drive, the 603-horsepower Eletre will be able to reach 60 mph in 4.2 seconds, estimated zero to 60 mph in just 2.7 seconds for the more powerful R trim. The 109.0 kWh battery pack should provide about 315 miles of driving range in the base and S trims. The range of the high-performance Eletre R won’t impress, clocking in at around 260 miles per charge.
2025 Lotus Eletre : Safety
Lotus says the Eletre will be able to drive in semi-autonomous mode thanks to various LIDAR sensors installed on the roof and front wheel arches. The Lotus Eletre, a fully electric SUV, attaches great importance to safety and incorporates advanced features to ensure the well-being of its passengers. Eletre comes with a comprehensive suite of driver assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking. Additionally, multiple airbags are strategically placed throughout the cabin to provide maximum protection in the event of an accident. The vehicle also features a suite of state-of-the-art sensors including cameras, radar, and lidar that provide 360-degree monitoring to improve situational awareness and avoid collisions. Lotus Eletre aims to provide a safe and confident driving experience with this advanced safety technology. 2025 Lotus Eletre Crash test results will be available on the websites of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
