2025 Mazda 3
The 2025 Mazda 3 or 2025 Mazda3 is a compact car manufactured by Mazda. 2025 Mazda 3 is available in sedan and hatchback variants, that are consistently praised for its driving experience, premium interior, and stylish design. The top-of-the-line engine is a powerful 2.5-liter turbo four-cylinder. All-wheel drive is available and standard on the turbo. The cabin is quiet and well-finished, the driver interacts with the infotainment system only with a rotary knob rather than a touchscreen.
The Mazda3 hatchback adds versatility, but rear visibility is hampered by a chunky rear pillar. The 2025 Mazda 3 is an excellent choice for those looking for a compact car that offers a premium experience without a premium tag. The Mazda combines style, performance, and technology in a package that feels more luxurious than most of its competitors.
2025 Mazda 3 : Interior
The interior of the Mazda 3 is refined and luxurious, with high-quality materials and a minimalist design that exudes elegance. Mazda has carefully designed the cabin of the 3 with high-quality materials. For example, the head-up display, heated front seats, and leather upholstery are reserved for the top trim. However, 3 sedans and hatchbacks feature supportive seats and comfortable passenger seating. However, the two-box model has the worst rear visibility among compact hatchbacks due to its curved design that favors sight lines.
Interior bulkhead storage is adequate, but those looking for more cargo space should opt for the sedan, which carries six car-cars in the trunk, compared to the hatchback’s five, both carrying 16 bags with the back seat folded. Mazda now offers embedded Alexa technology in all Mazda 3s except the entry-level model. The 8.8-inch infotainment screen is standard and looks even bigger than it is, thanks to a well-designed bezel that floats between two cushion-like panels.
Wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features are standard. A larger, 10.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is standard on Turbo models. The infotainment interface on both screens is easy to use and controlled via a console-mounted rotary knob, but the larger screen allows for both touch and dial-based operation.
2025 Mazda 3 : Engine
Mazda offers two different engines for the 3, starting with the base 191-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. A 250-horsepower turbocharged 2.5-liter engine is available, but only on the more expensive Turbo trims. Buyers can get a six-speed manual if they stick to front-wheel drive. Choosing an auto-wheel drive system requires a six-speed automatic gearbox. While all 3 respond easily to throttle input, only the turbocharged engine makes the 3 satisfyingly quick.
The most fuel-efficient Mazda 3 is the base 2.5-liter four-cylinder sedan, which gets EPA ratings of 28 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway. The all-wheel drive turbo hatchback model is a bit more fuel efficient, averaging 23 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. We tested the non-turbo 2.5-liter automatic-equipped sedan on our 75 mph freeway course and it recorded an impressive 41 mpg. It’s also tested a similarly equipped hatchback that beat its highway average by 2 mpg, while the front-wheel-drive 3 delivers 38 mpg.
2025 Mazda 3 : Safety
The Mazda 3 is equipped with several safety features designed to protect occupants and increase driving confidence. Standard features include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking, which helps avoid accidents and reduce collisions. Additionally, the Mazda 3 has earned the distinction of being one of the safest vehicles in its class, receiving the highest safety ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The 2025 Mazda 3’s strong safety performance is also supported by advanced driver assistance systems and a solid structure.
