2025 Mini Cooper Hardtop
The 2025 Mini Cooper Hardtop is a compact car by the Nini Cars brand. The Mini Cooper Hardtop comes with an iconic design, sporty performance, distinctive retro styling, rounded shape, and a UK-themed roof option available on other models. For those looking for faster handling and more power, the Mini Cooper offers a variety of engine options, including a turbocharged variant. If you have more money to spend and want to maximize performance and handling, check out the Cooper JCW, which uses 228 horsepower from Cooper’s turbo four-cylinder engine.
Inside, the Mini Hardtop combines stylish aesthetics with modern technology, often featuring a center-round display and quality materials. The hardtop model is a popular choice among drivers who enjoy powerful driving in a small package. The Mini Hardtop also features a customized interior and exterior design that allows owners to add personal touches. The Mini’s price is similar to the Audi A3 or BMW 2 series.
2025 Mini Cooper Hardtop : Interior
The Mini’s interior is surprisingly interesting but sacrifices user-friendliness. Space for rear-seat passengers is limited, front-seat passengers will find no reason to complain. The convertible model’s electric roof folds in 18 seconds to enjoy unlimited headroom. Too bad his trunk is too small. Hardtop models offer more functionality within their hatchback bodies, but still not considering the car’s smaller size. The hardtop model’s boot is quite small and only offered room for three people in our tests. But fold down the rear seats and there’s room for 12 people. The five-door Hardtop offers more cargo space with the rear seats folded, but the Convertible offers less.
All 2025 Mini Cooper models have an 8.8-inch infotainment screen and a digital instrument panel. SiriusXM satellite radio is also standard across the lineup, but buyers looking for Apple CarPlay, in-car navigation, or wireless phone charging will have to pay extra for those features. Android Auto is not available.
2025 Mini Cooper Hardtop : Engine
The standard engine is a 134-horsepower turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder that provides enough pep for this small, lightweight, front-wheel drive car. We prefer the S models, which come with an 189-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. With the bigger engine, the S was seen to reach 60 mph over a second faster than the base 1.5-liter engine, finishing in 6.2 seconds. The automatic transmission shifts well, but the manual transmission is still our favorite because it makes the driver more cooperative.
Standard and convertible models with the three-cylinder engine are rated at 29 mpg city and 38 mpg highway with the automatic transmission, and 27 mpg city and 37 mpg highway with the manual transmission. We got 38 mpg on our 75 mph highway economy test route with the three-cylinder engine and six-speed manual transmission. The more powerful 2.0-liter engine in the Cooper S is rated slightly lower by the EPA; automatic models achieve ratings of up to 28 mpg city and 38 mpg highway, while manual models achieve ratings of 23 mpg city and 33 mpg highway.
2025 Mini Cooper Hardtop : Safety
The Mini Cooper comes with automatic emergency braking as standard and offers adaptive cruise control and parking assist. Crash test results will be available on The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites. Safety features include standard automatic emergency braking, standard lane departure warning, and available adaptive cruise control. The 2025 Mini Cooper Hardtop offers a slightly better warranty than other small car manufacturers, especially with free scheduled repairs. Volvo and BMW offer free scheduled maintenance programs, which are compatible with Mini’s policy.
