The 2020 Lincoln Aviator is a medium-sized SUV for sale by the Lincoln division of Ford Motor Company. Although some European Mercedes, Audi, and Volvo competitors may outsmart this Lincoln comfortably, the Aviator still incorporates some high-end features, especially on the Black Label trims. The basic engine on the Aviator is a twin 3.0-liter V6 engine that produces 400 horsepower. That’s enough juice for any driving situation, and this Lincoln makes the combination of highway and passenger look easy. There’s a plug-in-hybrid Powertrain too; Grand Touring models include a twin-turbo V6 and electric car. The hybrid is even more powerful, putting out 494 horsepower and an incredible 630 feet of torque. When it comes to fuel economy, this Lincoln gets standard-class ratings. It has a four-wheel drive, returning 18 mpg to the city and 26 mpg on the highway. With the all-wheel drive, the ratings drop to 17/14 mpg city/highway. The plug-in hybrid Aviator has an electric range of 21 miles, it returns an average of 56 MPG-equivalent to 23 mpg in city/highway driving combinations.
2020 Lincoln Aviator Safety
The safety includes the standard driver assistance features including a rearview camera, MyKey, rear parking sensors, location monitoring, traffic alert, collision alert, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency detection, traffic alert, lane maintenance, and sleep monitoring. Some of these items are part of the Lincoln Co-Pilot360 technical suite. The Big Road Safety Insurance Center gave the 2020 Aviator the highest rating of the Best in Four crash tests and the second-highest Accreditation rating on the driver side of the previous minor test. The IIHS has a different standard for measuring effective safety features. Aviator has received the highest rating of Superior for its accident-prevention services and pre-selected vehicle. The 2020 Lincoln Aviator Reserve has received the second-highest rating of the Advanced for its high-risk pedestrian safety features, while the models equipped with the Co-Pilot 360 Plus package receive the Superior rating.
