2021 Nissan Murano
The 2021 Nissan Murano is a mid-size crossover SUV manufactured and sold by Nissan. The Nissan Murano is a two-row SUV with five seats. The Murano’s front seats are softly cushioned and support them even after a few hours on the road. There is a generous space at the front and a foot room for taller passengers, the back seats are similarly spacious and comfortable for a pair of adult or children’s triplets.
The front and sides of the Murano fit the exterior wall, but the view of the back is limited by the flexibility of the roof. Inside, the fabric upholstery and manually adjustable front seats are standard. There are leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and heated steering wheels. There are two complete sets of LATCH connectors for the rear exterior seats and a connecting anchor for the rear center seat. Nissan has stepped up Murano’s safety game until 2021, as the previous optional driver assistance package is within the standard range.
Called Safety Shield 360, this set of features includes automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear-mounted emergency braking, blind tracking, road warning, automatic high beams, and more. The Nissan Murano SV Premium package is gone, and in its place comes the Special Edition package, which includes a Nissan panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree external camera system, artificial leather upholstery, heated front seats, and 20-inch wheels.
2021 Nissan Murano : Interior
The interior of the 2021 Murano features soft-touch plastics and cushioned leather surfaces, especially at high trim levels. This gives the SUV a high level of mood, but the cabin style rejects it a bit. The layout hasn’t changed since the SUV’s last design in 2015, and it looks next to new rivals like Hyundai Santa Fe. The Murano 2021 model is equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen entertainment system. The menus are direct and the display is populated with multiple physical buttons and knobs, making it easy to adjust audio and climate control while driving. Apple complies with CarPlay and Android Auto standards, allowing users to seamlessly integrate their smartphone apps on-screen. That is, the graphics of the touch screen look like a slightly lower number of pixels by modern standards.
2021 Nissan Murano : Engine
The 2021 Nissan Murano is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 260 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque. Continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and front-wheel are standard; full-wheel drive is available. This V6 feels like a muscle and works very well when transporting Murano around town. Off-line acceleration is smooth and fast. The caveat is that the CVT slows down the gas deceleration, which can make the Murano feel slower when accelerating at medium to high speeds. It can also cause the engine to fly loudly, especially at long distances. The Nissan Murano has an EPA rating of 20 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, which is great for this class.
2021 Nissan Murano : Safety
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Highway Safety Insurance Institute (IIHS) provide Murano with an average safety report card. Nissan offers standard technology that helps the driver on all models. The main features of safety include surveillance cameras, blind surveillance, the direction of departure and movement, door warning, emergency braking, traffic warning, collision warning, driver tracking, and headlights. Advanced 2021 Nissan Murano safety features include road sign detection, stop camera system, and Adaptive cruise control.
