2022 Acura MDX
The 2022 Acura MDX is a mid-range three-row SUV manufactured by Acura. The 2022 MDX SUV derives its beautiful style from the compact Acura RDX SUV and Acura TLX sedan, and the cabin features luxury materials and features worthy of the Acura premium brand. The power unit for this front-wheel-drive consists of a 290-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 and a 10-speed automatic with all-wheel drive.
The 2022 MDX base has an EPA rating of 19 mpg city and 26 mpg highway fuel economy. Choosing a full-wheel drive will reduce the highway rating by 1 mpg. In testing the fuel-saving direction of the 75-mile highway, our all-wheel-drive A-Spec test vehicle delivered a disappointing 22 mpg. The 2022 MDX display has a 12.3-inch large entertainment display with a touch panel control mounted on the center console, which is, unfortunately, a bit tedious to use.
The 12.3-inch digital reset indicator is also standard, as are Apple CarPlay and Android Auto options, line navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a wireless smartphone charging panel. The technology trim includes an ELS Studio stereo system, while the A-Spec and Advanced models receive 16-speaker ELS Studio 3D settings.
2022 Acura MDX : Interior
The 2022 MDX interior has been significantly improved in terms of functionality. Acura has also raised the price of luxury, with MDX interiors available in a range of high-end materials, such as open-hole wood, stainless steel speaker covers, and a choice of available soft finishes. The MDX mounts to the front of the cab, but the second row is less lit. The MDX comes with a frustrating entertainment system and an intuitive control panel design in the past. Acura improves the interior look of the MDX 2022 Type-S.
Inside, the 12.3-inch central display screen and touch panel controller, as well as wireless connectivity to combine Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphones. The new entertainment touch panel controller is easier to use than the previous MDX’s dual-screen installation but requires a fair amount of practice to operate. There is also a hidden compartment under the floor at the back of the cargo area. The cover is retracted on one side to offer an easy-to-clean plastic surface, so you don’t get muddy fishing gear or loose dirt on the carpet. You can also use the earring area to secure food packages.
2022 Acura MDX : Engine
The Acura 2022 MDX is actually a little more thirsty than the previous model. The front-wheel-drive models with the 3.5-liter V6 get 22 mpg (19 city / 26 motor) calculated on the EPA, which is reduced to 1 mpg on the board. The 3.5-liter V6 wheeled models are currently at 21 mpg (19 city / 25 highway), which also means a 1 mpg drop. In addition, MDX’s environmental credit damage is due to the lack of the Sport Hybrid model, which combines 27 mpg. 2022 MDX offers four trim levels such as MDX, Technology, A-Spec, and Advance. The base and Technology trims conform to the front-wheel-drive standard and offer full wheels as an option. High trim levels are standard with AWD.
2022 Acura MDX : Safety
The redesigned Acura MDX has made significant improvements in its power transmission system, cabin materials, convenience, and safety technology. Now the three-lane family car will be rewarded for improving traffic safety, and the insurance institute won the Highway Safety for Top Safety Pick Plus award the organization’s highest performance. In addition to the AcuraWatch safety kit, the automaker has introduced the 2022 Acura MDX with modern standard safety features, including a new monitor that controls directly to the parking lot, recognizes road signs, detects pedestrians, and catches the driver’s attention. To further reduce the likelihood of a collision, the 2022 Acura MDX offers an optional safety feature called low-speed braking control as part of its Technology suite.
