2024 Mazda 6
The 2024 Mazda 6 (Mazda6) or Mazda Atenza is a mid-size sedan manufactured by Mazda. The 2024 Mazda 6 will benefit from several new features and an appearance package called the Carbon Edition. The 2nd one inherits all the accessories of the Grand Touring Reserve decorations and includes a set of polymetallic gray paint colors, black exterior accents, and dark 19-inch wheels.
The theme continues with black decorative pieces inside and red leather upholstery with gray stitching, every Mazda6 has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features. The 2024 Mazda 6 is one of the best-performing midsize sedans, with an optional turbocharged four-cylinder engine that is also powerful and consumes more power than the line.
The transmission is fast and smooth, even though it’s out of date with only six gears. The Mazda 6 doesn’t have an extra ride. Its sporty suspension prioritizes driving excitement over comfort. 6 is a bit tougher compared to competitors, but it’s not penalized. Otherwise, keep the cabin quiet and well insulated, away from slight wind and traffic noise on the highway.
Mazda 6 : Interior
Inside, the quality of the materials is amazing, and the mature design and the limited details are amazing. With the exception of a few minor annoyances associated with the operation of some controls, the cabin is first-class and the best in the class. Easy entry and exit due to wide swing doors. Tall rear passengers may have to bow their heads due to the slope of the rear roofline of the 6, but otherwise, back access is not a problem. Lots of foot and head distance ahead. Rear passengers will feel less foot space than the Accord or Camry offers, but medium-sized people should find the space comfortable.
Flexible cruise control works well and is able to stop the Mazda 6 when needed. Flexible cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, exit warning, and pre-accident mitigation are visible through the optional home screen and provide the driver with additional awareness of the situation. Mazda’s existing navigation system works well with voice control and a control button, but some features are intuitive, such as menu-based zoom in map mode. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration are standard.
Mazda 6 : Engine
Mazda offers a choice of a two-sensor 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. The standard engine produces 187 horsepower, while the existing turbo engine produces up to 250 horsepower. The 2.5-liter turbo has reached 10 pound-feet of torque for 2021, which has increased production to 320 pound-feet, but it requires the use of high-quality fuel. According to the EPA, this sedan should earn 26 mpg in the city and 35 mpg when the trunk is equipped with a four-cylinder base.
The increased torque level of the turbocharged version will affect its fuel economy, but the 2023 mazda6 model is projected at 23 mpg and 31 mpg on the highway in the city. The last tested turbo 6 surpassed the government highway bill on our 200-mile real road and earned a 36 mpg C / D rating. The basic engine model we tested earlier delivered a speed of 37 mpg on this route, an advantage of 2 mpg over the EPA highway rating.
Mazda 6 : Safety
The 2024 Mazda 6 has been awarded a five-star crash rating by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The Institute for Highway Safety Insurance (IIHS) has named the latest version as rated Top Safety Pick +. The sophisticated sedan also has standard driver assistance technology and can be equipped with i-Activsense, Mazda’s active set of security guards. 2024 Mazda 6 key safety features include blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, reverse warning, automatic emergency braking, lane hold assistance, and lane departure.
