2024 Lamborghini Countach
The 2024 Lamborghini Countach is a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive sports car manufactured by Italian automaker Lamborghini. Unlike the older Countach, the 2024 Lamborghini Countach is one has a small electric motor powered by a supercapacitor that works in conjunction with a mid-mounted powerful V-12 to produce a combined 802 horsepower. Lamborghini claims this drivetrain will help it reach zero to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 221 km/h.
All 2024 Countach models had already been talked about before texting Swiss bankers about a seven-figure wire transfer. Lamborghini is reviving the Countach name and likeness for the 2022 model year. While it’s a homologation of the brand’s other hypercars, it’s a surprisingly faithful recreation of the original. Lamborghini Countach will also be sold in very limited quantities, like the wildly designed Lamborghini Sian.
The original Lamborghini Countach is one of those cars that is great, both despite its flaws and because of its flaws. Justifying its sacrament requires the kind of convoluted logic that corrupt medieval priests would use to sanctify the unholy, and even one of the less beloved versions of this indisputable icon still offers an unforgettable experience. Regardless of the new car’s handsome design, the LPI 800-4 feels too well-designed and slick to be a true successor to such an imperfect gem.
2024 Lamborghini Countach : Interior
The 2024 Countach’s exterior bears an uncanny resemblance to its ancestor, while the interior of today’s version is decidedly more modern. Back to the future, the only notable feature is the red-and-black interior of the version that Lamborghini introduced to the world. Otherwise, its two-seater cockpit is similar to that seen on other contemporary Lambos.
Inside, the center console features an all-digital instrument cluster, a buttonless steering wheel powered by giant paddle shifters, and an array of buttons and other controls. As with other Lamborghinis, the infotainment system on the Countach is an afterthought. Most notably, it runs through a vertically oriented 8.0-inch touchscreen, which allows users to play music or listen to the radio, access vehicle settings, and functions, and make countless other settings.
2024 Lamborghini Countach : Engine
The electrically assisted 6.5-liter V-12 engine is mounted in the middle of the car. The small electric motor is powered by a supercapacitor and combines with the large gas engine to produce a total of 802 horsepower. Since the Countach is claimed to weigh 3516 pounds, the company’s claims that it will accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and reach 124 mph in 8.4 seconds do not seem strange. Lamborghini also says it has a top speed of 221 mph. With standard rear-wheel steering, the exotic coupe shouldn’t be too difficult to maneuver in tight spots.
