2024 Ford EcoSport
The 2024 Ford EcoSport is a subcompact crossover SUV manufactured by Ford. The 2024 Ford EcoSport held less hand luggage than the Rogue Sport and Honda HR-V but had higher capacity than other similar competitors. The 2024 EcoSport has several internal storage points, but none are very large. A closable vent in the glove box is connected to the vehicle’s air conditioning to create a climate-controlled compartment. Ford EcoSport was based on the European Fiesta and Fusion MPV, which shared the same Ford B3 platform. Additionally, all models planned for export to Argentina, Mexico, Canada, and the USA have also been canceled, but the EcoSport will continue to be sold in Europe and will be produced at a facility in Romania.

The 2024 EcoSport has consistently appeared in the twenty best-selling vehicles, making it one of Ford’s best-selling models in Brazil. Ford EcoSport was also popular in Argentina, Venezuela, and Mexico. Its main competitors were Fiat Palio Weekend Adventure and Volkswagen CrossFox. It reached cumulative sales in 2011. Ford EcoSport features the Ford SYNC driver link system, a command system developed with Microsoft. There are also airbags, anti-lock brakes (ABS), an electronic stability program (ESP), electric power-assisted steering (EPAS), Hill Start Assist, Traction Control System (TCS), and rear parking sensors.

In its most basic Latin American configuration, the EcoSport received 4 stars for adult passengers and 3 stars for toddlers from the Latin NCAP. The EcoSport was discontinued in the US and India in mid-2022 due to falling sales and Ford ending production in India. The Ford entry-level model in the US market will be the Ford Maverick pickup truck.

The EcoSport’s interior is more functional than trendy, the leather-wrapped steering wheel is rubbery and most of the plastic surfaces feel hard and hollow. The SES model displays an elegant appearance with copper-colored ornaments as well as special leather and fabric seats. Despite its diminutive size, the EcoSport has competitive cargo space and storage. Most test results were average; Ford has proven to be a handy, albeit compact, travel companion with a few handy tricks.

The EcoSport offers two levels of infotainment, the top version of which is based on Ford’s user-friendly Sync 3 system. It uses an 8.0-inch touchscreen that’s packed with features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto interfaces.
2024 Ford EcoSport : Engine
The 2023 EcoSport is only available with a 166 hp four-cylinder engine, six-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive. Ford EcoSport means economical and will disappoint. The drivetrain alone and standard all-wheel drive are rated at 23 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. On our 75 mph fuel economy route, which is part of our extensive testing regimen, it gained 30 mpg on the highway. EcoSport Ford wasn’t as efficient as the Hyundai Kona or Nissan Rogue Sport we tested.
2024 Ford EcoSport : Safety
Ford lacks advanced driver assists such as automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control, but the features available are in line with most competitors. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the Ford EcoSport an overall safety rating of four out of five, with five stars in the side crash test, four stars in the frontal crash test, and three stars in the rollover test. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety did not evaluate the Ford EcoSport. 2024 Ford EcoSport Safety Features include MyKey, blind spot monitoring, rearview camera, rain-sensing windshield wipers, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors.
