2024 Jaguar XE
The 2024 Jaguar XE is a front-engined, four-door compact executive car manufactured by Jaguar. The 2024 Jaguar XE is a midsize luxury sedan with a turbocharged engine and all-wheel drive. Jaguar XE draws attention with its glued and riveted aluminum unitary structure, which is a first in its segment, as well as aluminum suspension components. The Infinity XE 2024 delivers exceptional body control on bumps and bends and delivers livable ride quality. An adaptive suspension with multiple stiffness settings is offered, but it’s not as perfect as the standard setup.

The electric power steering provides exceptional feedback from the front tires to the driver’s hands, which is a huge confidence booster during tough driving. The structure features glued and riveted aluminum construction with bolt-on front and rear impact structure and main body panels to simplify repair and reduce insurance costs. In the event of a collision with a pedestrian, the active hood opens to provide additional protection.

Inside is a flat rotary gear selector that rises and becomes functional when the engine is started. The center console featured an 8-inch or optional 10.2-inch touchscreen display, providing access to in-car entertainment, satellite navigation, and vehicle settings. The Infinity XE 2024 has smartphone connectivity, and some models allow the owner to preheat the interior or unlock the car remotely using a smartphone app, laser color head-up display is an available option.

Inside, the interior aesthetic is clean and modern, with overall high-quality materials. The driver looks at a beautifully shaped steering wheel, an analog tachometer and speedometer, and an optional digital instrument cluster. The XE’s instrument cluster features large, easy-to-read climate controls with independent temperature readings. With a wide range of adjustability for the steering column and front seats, there is space for the driver and front seat passenger. The XE’s trunk space is competitive in its class and features a standard 60/40 folding rear seat to expand that capacity if needed.

Our real-world cargo capacity testing revealed that the XE’s trunk has less usable space than most of its competitors, which technically have smaller trunks, what’s more, the Jag’s rear seats are difficult to fold. Every 2024 Jaguar XE comes with a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment display and the latest version of Jaguar’s InControl Touch Pro software. InControl Touch Pro is easy to use with navigable menus and sleek looks, but we noticed some bugs and significant lag time on this system and other Jaguar products. InControl Touch Pro also includes navigation. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Technology Package that includes a wireless charging pad for phones, a head-up display, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a second touchscreen under the center stack that controls the climate system.
2024 Jaguar XE : Engine
The Jaguar XE Infinity comes with a 380-hp supercharged V-6 and four-cylinder diesel engine that can no longer accelerate to 100 km/h in less than five seconds or go beyond 40 mpg on the highway like it used to. The XE’s entry-level, 247 hp four-cylinder engine is rated at 34 mpg on the highway, which puts it well against the competition. However, we didn’t catch that on our highway fuel-economy test, where our all-wheel-drive XE hit just 31 mpg.
2024 Jaguar XE : Safety
Almost all modern security technology features are available in the XE. Other than the top trim levels, very few of the features are standard. Meanwhile, neither the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) nor the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has crash-tested the XE, so it’s impossible to say how safe the XE is. 2024 Jaguar XE safety features include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and standard driver drowsiness monitoring.
