2023 Lamborghini Centenario
The 2023 Lamborghini Centenario is a limited-edition sports car based on the 2023 Lamborghini Aventador design unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show to commemorate the 100th birthday of the company’s founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini. Lamborghini developed the Centenario as a test environment to showcase the development of new technologies and also for the development of new Lamborghini models.
The 2023 Lamborghini Centenario is the first Lamborghini car to be deployed with 3 exhausts and rear-wheel drive. The system is designed to provide additional low-speed maneuverability and enhanced stability at high speed in an urban driving environment. In 2018, 11 out of 40 Centenarios were recalled for having an inappropriate weight rating label. Centenario is also the first Lamborghini model to be featured with the company’s new infotainment system. The system consists of a new 10.1-inch portrait display that also records telemetry, driving data, and top speeds.
The Lamborghini Aventador’s all-new bodywork also serves as a basis for showcasing new aerodynamic developments. The double-deck splitter at the front works with the side wings to help create downforce as well as allow air to pass by the car. The Lamborghini 2023 Centenario also has the largest rear diffusers ever to be included in a car. Diffusers and an electronically controlled double-decker rear wing help create downforce. The Centenario can produce 227 kg (500 lb) of downforce at 280 km/h (174 mph).
2023 Lamborghini Centenario : Engine
The 2023 Centenario is based on the 2023 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ and retains aluminum front and rear subframes from the standard Aventador along with the carbon fiber monocoque. Power comes from a tuned version of the Aventador’s 6.5-liter V12 that produces 770 PS (566 kW; 759 hp) at 8,500 rpm and 690 N⋅m (509 lb-ft) of torque at 5,500 rpm, so the Lamborghini Aventador Increases power over the SV to 20 PS (15 kW; 20 hp).
The Centenario also has a slight weight reduction of 5 kg (11 lb) compared to the Aventador. The engine is mated to the same 7-speed ISR automated manual transmission used in an Aventador, along with a Haldex-developed all-wheel drive drivetrain. The power steering has two turns from lock to lock. The suspension system is a pushrod design.
2023 Lamborghini Centenario : Performance
The car can accelerate to 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in 2.8 seconds, and 0–300 km/h (0–186 mph) in 23.5 seconds, with a top speed of more than 350 km/h (217 mph). The Centenario comes with a power-to-weight ratio of 2.18 kg (4.81 lb) per horsepower and a braking distance of 30 m (98 ft) from 100–0 km/h (62–0 mph).
2023 Lamborghini Centenario Roadster
The Lamborghini unveiled the 2023 Centenario Roadster at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August 2016. The only change from its coupé counterpart is the weight of the car, which is now set at a minimum of 1,570 kg (3,461 lb) due to the loss of the roof and the addition of chassis reinforcement components. Performance remains the same as the coupé. A total of 40 cars (20 coupes and 20 roadsters) were produced, all sold at an invitation to selected customers.
