2025 Lincoln Continental
The 2025 Lincoln Continental is a series of mid-size and full-size luxury cars manufactured by Lincoln, a division of the American automaker Ford Motor Company. The Lincoln Continental variant is based on the successful Lincoln MKZ, and the Continental is a high-tech flagship sedan. The base engine is a lackluster 3.7-liter V6. However, the 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6 packs a lot of power. The top-end gets a 400-hp, 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is optional, the ride is very comfortable and the cabin is super quiet.

The cabin is beautifully finished and very spacious, especially at the rear. Standard front seats look unconventional and compromise on support. The push button gear selector and electronic switches are used instead of the interior door handle. The Lincoln Continental lineup has been simplified for 2023 and is now available in three different hardware options: Standard, Reserve, and Black Label. Apart from that, Continental’s existing option packages are slightly modified and there are three new colors: Pristine White Metallic Triple Coat, Red Carpet Metallic Color Varnish, and Silver Gloss Varnish. Front and all-wheel drive versions are offered and compete with the Continental, Acura RLX, and Volvo S90.
Lincoln Continental : interior
The Lincoln Continental’s interior is an uneven mix of luxury materials and off-market plastics that can be seen on smaller Lincolns and regular Fords. European fried inflatable side bolsters, individually adjustable thigh bolsters, massage modes, and very hot heating elements put front-seat occupants in the lap of luxury. Continental’s roomy trunk, folding rear seats, and bulky cargo boxes give it an edge over established players in this category, many of which do not offer folding rear seats.

All Continental models feature an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that includes the latest version of parent company Ford’s Sync 3 software. The system controls everything from audio and navigation to climate control. Lincoln provides replacement buttons and knobs for frequently used functions. The standard audio system includes 10 speakers, SiriusXM satellite radio, Bluetooth phone and audio streaming, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, USB connectivity, speaker system with HD radio.
Lincoln Continental : Engine
The Lincoln Continental Reserve comes with a twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V-6 that delivers 335 horsepower versus the Standard car’s non-turbocharged 3.7-liter V-6 that delivers 305 horsepower. Unfortunately, the behavior of the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 we tested was uneven, with an overly aggressive throttle response and some transmission issues. Lincoln isn’t chasing sports sedan glory with the Continental like Cadillac did with the Cadillac CT6 and instead seems content to provide a well-cushioned ride. Even at its most efficient, the Continental has a considerable thirst for fuel and is smashed by some of its rivals in fuel economy ratings, such as the Volvo S90 and Lexus LS500. However, in our real-world testing, our test car outperformed the EPA highway rating by an impressive 4 mpg.
Lincoln Continental : Safety
The Lincoln Continental comes with standard and existing Lincoln features. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety awarded the Lincoln Continental the highest Good in all crash tests, and models with LED projector headlights were given the highest honor, Top Safety Pick+. Depending on the trim, the Continental received a Good or the lowest Poor rating for how well its headlights illuminate the road ahead. The Continental received the highest Superior rating for its standard vehicle-to-vehicle forward collision avoidance system. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the 2025 Lincoln Continental an overall safety rating of five out of five, with five stars in front and side crash tests and four stars in rollover tests.
