2025 Audi Q8 : Interior
The interior features a nice mix of futuristic and contemporary elements, from mostly digital controls and sleek metal accents to ample soft leather upholstery and vibrant wood veneers. The materials are top notch and the panels are expertly aligned. The base model misses out on luxury features like four-zone climate control and a leather instrument panel with contrast stitching, it has standard heated front seats and a panoramic sunroof.
The top model gets massaging front seats, upgraded leather surfaces, and quieter double glazing. The Q8 is not only visually impressive, it has more than enough passenger space, has limited storage space inside. The shallow center console bin and narrow door pockets left us with little room to store small items. Instead of the intuitive rotary controller found in other Audi models, the displays respond to touch inputs with haptic feedback.
Fortunately, receiver voice commands and convenient steering wheel controls provide alternative usage. Standard features include Wi-Fi hotspot, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Wireless charging and two different Bang & Olufsen sound systems are optional. We especially like the standard digital instrument cluster with its configurable settings and excellent navigation.
2025 Audi Q8 : Engine
The Audi Q8 is equipped with a 335-horsepower 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and an all-wheel drive system. The engine is quite smooth and refined and does a good job of propelling the Q8 around town and on the highway. The zero to 60 mph sprint takes 5.7 seconds. There’s plenty of passing power at higher speeds too, and the transmission exhibits quick and smooth gear changes. The SQ8 rocks a 500-horsepower 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, imbuing the SUV with sports car-like thrust and a throatier exhaust note. Throttle response is immediate, and the big V8 can propel the SQ8 from zero to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds. The Zanier RS Q8 has a 591-horsepower version of this engine that gets the job done in just 3.7 seconds. The base V6 returns an EPA-rated 18 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway, which is only fit for a luxury midsize SUV.
