2024 Acura RDX
The 2024 Acura RDX is a sports crossover SUV that offers an exhilarating driving experience combined with a premium interior. The 2024 Acura RDX represents premium value among luxury SUVs, which BMWs and Porsches offer as standard. The RDX’s turbocharged four-cylinder is very powerful, and its sharp handling is satisfying on a winding road, but its 10-speed automatic transmission and brake pedal feel can both require some refinement.
Inside, the RDX Acura’s dashboard is not much attractive as cool as the Genesis GV70 or Volvo XC60, but it comes standard with a similar level of tech and convenience. The technology package maximizes the value of the RDX while still providing a proper luxury experience, thanks to the leather, navigation, and wireless smartphone charger, among other upgrades. Also, consider adding all-wheel drive. It improves traction on icy or snowy roads and makes the RDX feel a little more agile when driving around turns.
2024 Acura RDX : Interior
Inside, the Acura RDX 2024, the middle stack is a bit busy, with lots of buttons, a touchpad, and a large rotary drive mode selector that sits front and center. While the cabin’s remarkable build quality and desirable standard features were appreciated, the RDX does not feel luxurious. Acura offers a sportier experience than the Honda CR-V can provide. Nothing feels cheap or stylish, and the driving position is high enough to satisfy SUV fans and flexible enough to appease driving enthusiasts. A lever on the outer seats will release the back row so you can fold it flat. Or you can lower the backrests from the cargo area using the secondary locks. We managed to fit 22 handbags with the seats eight up and folded down. There’s also a large pass-through storage tray under the RDX’s floating center console.
Each RDX has a 10.2-inch touchscreen placed at the top of the front panel. It can also be operated via a touchpad in the center console. Acura calls the controller intuitive, but it took us a while to get used to it. The 2024 RDX comes standard with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi access point. The optional Technology package adds onboard navigation, rear-seat USB ports, a 12-speaker ELS Studio sound system
2024 Acura RDX : Engine
The Acura RDX 2024 model is powered by a 272-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and front or all-wheel drive. The A-Spec version tested needed 6.2 seconds to reach 100 km/h on our test track, placing it in the middle class among compact luxury SUVs. The RDX has competitive EPA fuel economy ratings approaching the mid-20s, and the front-wheel drive model gets slightly higher city and highway estimates than the all-wheel drive one. The first is rated at 22 mpg city and 28 mpg highway; Both of these numbers drop by 1 mpg when the driver selects all-wheel drive. Choosing the A-Spec package lowers both highway estimates by 1 mpg, to 27 mpg with the front drive and 26 mpg for the SH-AWD car.
2024 Acura RDX : Safety
