2024 Acura MDX
The 2024 Acura MDX is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV with three rows of seats produced by Japanese automaker Honda under the luxury Acura. The 2024 Acura MDX comes with an attractive exterior, clear handling for its size, and bold tech features. The third row is just for kids, not as fuel-efficient as some rivals, the infotainment controller takes getting used to. The 2024 MDX has been improved in almost every way, the cabin has a high-end look and feel, and every MDX comes with a full complement of standard advanced driving aids. The 2024 Acura MDX is a seven-seat mid-size SUV available in six trim levels MDX, Technology, A-Spec, Advance, MDX Type S, and Type S Advance. Base and Technology skins come standard with front-wheel drive and offer all-wheel drive as an option.
2024 Acura MDX : Interior
The MDX’s cabin has a premium look and feels, especially in the high-end upholstery that comes with French-stitched leather on the dashboard and open-pore wood mixed with metal and piano black accents. Acura likewise equipped the MDX with a lot of common luxuries, for example, double zone programmed environment control, warmed front seats, and cowhide upholstery. The front seats are supportive and comfortable and can be equipped with massage as well as intricacies such as 16-way power adjustment. The first and second rows offer plenty of passenger space, but the MDX’s third row is still a kid-only affair. While the interior is beautifully designed and offers plenty of comfort options, it doesn’t feel as luxurious as cabins from competitors like the Genesis GV80 or Volvo XC90.

The 2023 MDX features a large 12.3-inch infotainment display with a center console-mounted touchpad controller, and we’re sorry to report that it’s a little annoying. A 12.3-inch digital reconfigurable instrument display is also standard, as is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, built-in navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a wireless smartphone charging pad. Technology equipment includes an ELS Studio stereo system, while A-Spec and Advanced models feature a 16-speaker ELS Studio 3D setup.
2024 Acura MDX : Engine
The base 2023 MDX comes standard with a 290-hp V6 engine, and the S-Type trim comes with a 355-hp turbocharged V6. The two motors are matched with a 10-speed programmed transmission. The MDX achieves good gas mileage for the luxury mid-size SUV segment. Front-wheel drive models get an EPA-estimated 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. The MDX Type S is more thirsty, with an EPA-estimated 17/21 mpg city/highway.
2024 Acura MDX : Safety
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the 2023 Acura MDX an overall safety rating of five out of five. The MDX received five stars in the side impact and four stars in the frontal and rollover tests. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has not crash-tested the MDX at the time of writing, but the nearly identical Acura model scores top marks across the board. The 2024 Acura MDX standard and available safety features include a rearview camera, stop-go adaptive cruise control, road departure reduction, traffic jam assist, emergency braking, parking sensors, parking camera system, pedestrian detection, collision warning, a head-up display, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning and lane keeping assistance.
