2024 Audi A5
The 2024 Audi A5 is a series of compact executive coupe cars produced by the German automaker Audi. The 2024 Audi A5 series also includes coupe, cabriolet, and Sportback versions of the Audi A4 sedan and estate models. The 2024 Audi A5 combines elegance and glamor with high technology and driving pleasure, dynamism, and power. An elongated version of the A5 coupe and convertible, the A5 Sportback uses the same powertrain setup as the turbocharged inline-four bolted to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
The Audi A5 Sportback comes mostly as the same car, with just a few trim upgrades. The Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system is also included as standard equipment only for Premium Plus equipment. The Black Optic Plus appearance package has been expanded to include a black rear spoiler and exhaust tips. The 2024 Audi A5 Sportback 40 model has 201 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque, while the A5 Sportback 45 model gains an additional 60 horsepower and 40 pound-feet of torque.
The standard features such as high-quality leather, a panoramic sunroof, and moody ambient lighting make even the basic A5 Sportback feel comfortable. While rivals like the Mercedes-Benz C-class or the Genesis G70 arguably have sleeker interiors, the Sportback is powered by an incredibly clear and high-tech digital instrument cluster with current navigation driven by Google Earth imagery.
2024 Audi A5 : Interior
The 2024 A5 Sportback’s cabin isn’t as luxurious as some might expect from a luxury brand, but all the materials are high quality, the fit and finish are excellent, and there are enough high-end features to set it apart from the mainstream sedans. All A5 Sportback models are well equipped with luxury necessities such as power front seats, leather upholstery, panoramic sunroof, ambient interior lighting, and three-zone automatic climate control. A discreet hatchback, the A5 Sportback’s sloping rear roofline hides an electric tailgate and a large cargo hatch, making it far more practical than the Audi A4 sedan or A5 coupe and convertible.
Audi’s MMI is one of the most enjoyable infotainment systems among premium brands. The Audi 2024 A5 Sportback’s optional and highly recommended 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit is made even better thanks to its digital instrumentation display. All models feature a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen that can also be controlled via a console-mounted click-wheel between the driver and front seat passenger. Audi’s MMI display is easy to use on the go, but Android Auto / Apple CarPlay connectivity is standard if users prefer to interact directly with their smartphone instead. Navigation is optional and comes with access to an internet package and vehicle connectivity features called Audi Connect Prime and Audi Connect Plus.
2024 Audi A5 : Engine
The Audi A5 comes with a choice of four engines, ranging from fast to downright fast. The base engine of the A5 Sportback comes with a 201 horsepower turbo-four, while the Coupe and Cabriolet models come standard with a 261 horsepower turbo-four. The S models come with a 349-hp turbocharged V6, while the RS models come with a 444-hp twin-turbo V6. Two turbo-fours provide fast acceleration and allow for easy transition and merger on the highway. These estimates are lower for models with other engines. Other Sportback models go from 24/32 to 18/25 city/highway. Coupe models get between 24/32 and 18/26 city/highway, while Cabriolet models get between 24/31 and 21/28 mpg city/highway.
