2024 Audi A7: Engine
The 2024 Audi A7 comes standard with a 335-horsepower turbocharged V6 engine that helps get this Audi off the line fast. The seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is always in the right gear. At the center of the range is the Audi S7, which has a 444-horsepower twin-turbo V6 and a claimed zero to 100 km/h time of just 4.5 seconds. Throttle response is instantaneous, and you can feel the difference from the base model’s drivetrain. For even more excitement, the Audi RS 7 and its 591-horsepower twin-turbo V8 help with a sprint time of just 3.5 seconds from zero to 60. The base 2023 A7 gets an EPA-estimated 21 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway, which is appropriate for the luxury large car class. Performance models are less frugal: the Audi S7 comes in at 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway, while the Audi RS 7 gets 14/21 mpg in the city/highway.
2024 Audi A7 : Safety
The Insurance Institute for Road Safety awarded the Audi A7 the highest Good rating in all six crash tests, giving Audi the organization’s highest award, the Top Safety Pick+. The A7 also received the second-highest Acceptable rating for how well its headlights illuminate the road. IIHS uses a different scale to rate collision avoidance features. The A7 received the highest Superior rating for standard frontal collision avoidance systems. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the Audi A7 five out of five stars in the side crash test. It didn’t do any additional testing or give Audi an overall safety rating, though. The 2024 Audi A7 standard key safety features include blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, park assist, cross traffic alert, traffic sign recognition, night vision assist, rearview camera, high beams, parking sensors, emergency braking, collision warning, Lane departure warning, and overhead screen.
