The 2023 BMW X2 (2023 BMW F39) is a subcompact luxury crossover SUV manufactured by BMW. The BMW X2 2023 model is a sportier and less practical alternative to the BMW X1, as it is with other double-digit X models. The BMW X2 is based on the same front-wheel-drive UKL2 architecture as the X1 and MINI Countryman and has the same 2670mm (105.1-inch) wheelbase length. The BMW X2 was assembled in Regensburg, Germany, and co-produced with the 2023 BMW X1. The car, which is part of the BMW X family, is also available in high-end models with the xDrive all-wheel drive. The BMW X2 sDrive28i and BMW X2 xDrive28i models are available in North American markets.

The trim in this special edition comes with the M Sport kit, which includes a sporty suspension with a lower driving altitude and a re-tuned steering system, but the big difference is in the exterior style. The Coldplay models stand out from other X2 models with an aggressive front design and gold-colored exterior trim. The X2 GoldPlay is available in San Remo green, Alpine white, black sapphire, Storm Bay, or Skyscraper Gray paints of your choice.

inside, the interior design of the X2 is not as expressive as its exterior, the cabin is well equipped and well built. The driving space is great and all the X2 controls are in the driver’s hands. The head distance of the rear seat is narrow, but the space for passengers should be acceptable to most. BMW offers both artificial and real leather in several colors. The BMW X2 isn’t as practical as the square-shaped BMW X1 because of its appearance, but it does fit roof-wrapped competitors. It can fit 15 suitcases with five hand luggage and a folded bench behind the back seat, while the BMW X1 handles seven and 19, respectively.

The 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation is standard and runs BMW’s intuitive iDrive app. BMW also provides a control button on the center console, while the Premium package adds a home screen. Apple CarPlay capability, a built-in seven-speaker audio system will suffice for ordinary listeners, but audiophiles can set the Harman / Kardon premium sound system for more coins.

The main engine is very cute: it wants to spin, and it’s smooth and plentiful. On our test track, the X2 xDrive28i achieved a 6.4-second equivalent run at 60 mph – 0.1 seconds slower than the X1 xDrive28i and Volvo XC40 T5. Faster Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 reached the finish line in 5.8 seconds. BMW has tuned this high-performance X2 engine to produce 302 horsepower. The BMW X2 has a hard drive, especially with a sporty suspension. The X2 enjoys fast cornering and rewards the driver with its predictable nature. Front-wheel-drive models should see up to 32 mpg on the trunk, while the all-wheel-drive X2 should see up to 31 mpg. In tests, the 2023 X2 outperformed itself and achieved a result of 36 mpg on 200 miles of road fuel economy.

2023 BMW X2 : Safety

The Road Safety Insurance Institute gave the BMW X2 the highest rating in all six crash tests and the second-highest rating for how well the headlights illuminate the road. IIHS uses various scopes to assess collision avoidance properties. The BMW X2 received an Advanced Medium rating for a standard system of accident prevention in the past. The basic set of driver assistance functions, including automated emergency braking, is standard, and BMW offers additional technology at a price.
