2023 Cadillac CTS : Interior
Inside, the 2023 CTS Cadillac cabin is made from a collection of materials that run the gamut in look and texture, including both smooth and perforated leather types, open-pore wood, gloss black finish, chrome plastic, and faux suede. The combination of many different materials results in an interior design that is as intense as they are beautiful. The interior is designed with the driver in mind; most controls are easily accessible and the driving position is ideal for sporty driving. Both the standard analog gauges and the optional digital instrument cluster display are easy to read at a glance, the latter both better looking and can be reconfigured to display a variety of information.
Cadillac has done everything but the navigation standard. The CUE infotainment system features an intuitive menu layout, large buttons that are easy to activate while driving, and an 8.0-inch touchscreen. The rest of the CTS’ infotainment offerings are extensive: three USB ports, real-time traffic and weather updates, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth telephony via 4G LTE data connection, and audio streaming are standard fare.
2023 Cadillac CTS : Engine
The base turbo-four engine does its job to get this car up to high speeds without complaint. Both current V6s feel more muscular and help provide faster acceleration. Powering the high-performance Cadillac CTS-V, the V8 delivers outstanding performance. The standard eight-speed automatic transmission works well. The CTS has responsive steering and controlled body tilt, helping it feel confident in corners. The 3.6-liter V-6 has adequate highway mileage, although it didn’t meet the EPA highway rating in our real-world tests; it delivered only 27 of the 30 mpg it promised.
2023 Cadillac CTS : Safety
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration awarded the Cadillac CTS an excellent five-star overall safety rating, with five stars in all three crash tests. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the Cadillac CTS the highest Good rating in four crash tests, the second lowest Marginal rating in the driver’s side small overlap pretest, and the lowest Bad for how well the headlights illuminate. way forward. IIHS uses a different scale to evaluate frontal collision avoidance characteristics. 2023 Cadillac CTS models that come without automatic emergency braking at low speed received the lowest Basic rating, while models with it received the highest Superior rating.
