2025 Cadillac CT4
The 2025 Cadillac CT4 is a luxury compact sedan that competes in the premium compact car by Cadillac. The 2025 Cadillac CT4 is part of Cadillac’s lineup and is positioned as a smaller, more affordable alternative to the larger Cadillac CT5. The 2025 Cadillac CT4 features with a stylish design, powerful engine options, and a comfortable interior with modern technology features. The Cadillac CT4 goes to great lengths to combine entry-level pricing with significant aids of interior luxury and athletic handling, an attractive sports saloon that ticks all the important boxes for much less money than the CT4-V Blackwing.
The base engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 237 horsepower. The turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine is the preferred option, which bumps power up to 325 horsepower and is unaffected by the coarse sound of the 2.0-liter engine. The sedan’s rugged exterior design is softened by a host of tech features in the cabin, and some CT4 models come with a digital instrument cluster and GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driver-assist system. The Audi A3 and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe outperform the Caddy, but front-drive platforms cannot match the rear-drive CT4’s entertaining handling.
2025 Cadillac CT4 : Interior
The CT4’s interior is its biggest weak point. Although cabin quality is better than non-luxury vehicles, the CT4 falls far behind its classmates and offers a subpar luxury experience. The base model, however, has a range of standard and optional luxury and technological amenities, plus dynamic handling that smooths out most of the weaknesses. All CT4s come with an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen with the latest CUE software. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto interfaces come standard, as does an integrated Wi-Fi hotspot. Cadillac offers navigation on all models. It comes with a 14-speaker Bose stereo system that replaces the car’s standard eight-speaker arrangement.
Inside, the buttons and switches are much easier to use than the largely touch-sensitive interface of the CT4’s predecessor, the Cadillac ATS. Cadillac offers 10.7 cubic feet of cargo space. The CT4 seats five people. The front seats are comfortable and offer plenty of legroom, but the back row feels cramped. It also has little legroom. There are two complete sets of LATCH connectors for the rear outboard seats and a tether anchor for the rear center seat.
2025 Cadillac CT4 : Engine
The Cadillac CT4 comes standard with a 237-horsepower 2.0-liter turbo four engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Two other turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engines are available: one with 310 horsepower and the other with 325 horsepower. Both engines perform well but are hampered by the 10-speed automatic transmission, which cannot shift as easily as the eight-speed transmission. The range-topping CT4-V Blackwing comes with a 472-horsepower, twin-turbo, 3.6-liter V6 engine and a six-speed manual transmission.
A 10-speed automatic is available for the Blackwing, but the manual promises more fun for performance-oriented drivers. The CT4 with the base engine and standard rear-wheel drive gets good gas mileage for its class, with estimates of 23 mpg city and 34 mpg highway. With all-wheel drive, those estimates drop to 22/31 mpg city/highway. With the 310-horsepower engine and rear-wheel drive, the CT4 is rated at 21/31 mpg or 21/29 mpg with all-wheel drive. These figures drop significantly when the vehicle is equipped with the 472-horsepower V6. The Blackwing with manual transmission, can get about 15/23 mpg city/highway or 16/24 mpg city/highway with the 10-speed automatic transmission.
