2023 Cadillac XTS : Interior
Inside, the Cadillac XTS is huge and comfortable, but many in this class outperform it in terms of rear-seat legroom. An interior lighting system and 22-way adjustable heated and cooled, massaging front seats are all available, but only the electrically adjustable steering wheel and front seats are standard from our favorite luxury car features. Cadillac’s infotainment system has all the features of an excellent proposition, but its finicky and unreliable touch-based controls are frustrating, especially when trying to operate the system while driving. An 8.0-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, eight-speaker Bose audio, and a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot are standard navigation, a 14-speaker Bose audio system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument display are optional.
2023 Cadillac XTS : Engine
The 2023 XTS comes standard with a front-wheel drive and 304 hp V-6 engine, while the best-in-class V-Sport models feature a 410 hp Bi-turbo V-6 with all-wheel drive. Both engines are paired with a six-speed automatic, and the entry-level engine can be paired with all-wheel drive. The all-wheel drive variant of the 304-horsepower car needed 7.2 seconds to complete the same task. The V-Sport’s engine is much more in line with the XTS’ broad luxury attitude. It delivers effortless power both out of the line and when accelerating to pass, and its zero-to-100km/h sprint time of 5.2 seconds matches most competitors’ mixes. Its EPA highway rating of just 23 mpg indicates that the V-Sport’s powerful engine is not as efficient as comparable engines of its superior competitors. The lower-powered, front-wheel drive XTS gains a 28 mpg highway rating.
2023 Cadillac XTS : Safety
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the XTS five stars out of five in the frontal crash test and four stars in the rollover test. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety awarded the XTS the highest Good rating in four crash tests it conducted. IIHS uses a different scale to rate collision avoidance features. The XTS earned the highest rating of Outstanding for its optional vehicle-to-vehicle frontal collision avoidance system. Standard advanced safety features include parking sensors and a rearview camera, and advanced safety features available include blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, collision alert, departure alert, parking sensors, lane keeping assist, and rear cross-traffic alert, high-beam headlights, seat alert, and head-up display.
