2023 Chrysler Voyager
The 2023 Chrysler Voyager is a minivan manufactured by the Chrysler division of Stellaris. In the Chrysler lineup, the Chrysler Voyager is positioned as the sub-class Chrysler minivan that replaces the Dodge Grand Caravan in 2020 and sits below the Chrysler Pacifica. Some options are available for interested buyers to help elevate the Voyager to modern standards, while the van’s value-driven position makes it a tough sell against better-equipped competitors like the Honda Odyssey, Kia Carnival, and Toyota Sienna.
Voyager is inheriting the L and LX trim levels, which account for about a third of the Pacifica sold, thus offering a more affordable entry into the minivan line. It uses the same 3.6-liter V6 engine as the Pacifica, mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. This combination gives good power in the Pacifica, where it returns 21 mpg overall. Voyager does not offer major advanced safety systems such as forward collision warnings or automatic emergency braking. At least the blind spot alert is optional.
2023 Chrysler Voyager : Interior
The 2023 Voyager comes with leather seats, automatic climate control, or rear seat entertainment here, but the Voyager provides the same Stow ‘n Go feature that makes the Pacifica so versatile. Behind the third-row, Voyager has the same 32 cubic feet of cargo volume as the Pacifica. Chrysler offers a 3.5-inch digital display in the instrument cluster, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the center console, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, and a six-speaker audio system with active noise cancellation.
Bluetooth streaming and integrated voice control are also included, but front-panel navigation, a larger 10.1-inch infotainment display, and SiriusXM radio are optional.
2023 Chrysler Voyager : Engine
Chrysler Voyager 2023 model is equipped with a 287-hp 3.6-liter V-6 engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission to drive the front wheels. In our tests, the Pacifica managed to hit 60 mph with a sprint of 7.3 seconds. Both Chrysler vans have EPA estimates of 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. Voyager’s combined score of 22 mpg matches that of Carnival and Odyssey, both of which are top contenders.
2023 Chrysler Voyager : Safety
Voyager offers seven airbags for three rows, including front seat-mounted side airbags and side curtain airbags. ABS brakes and stability control are also available. Parkview rearview camera, remote keyless entry, automatic headlights, and electric parking brake are also standard. Customers looking for a little extra safety can opt for the new safety and premium group package, which adds rear cross-traffic alert, full-speed frontal collision warning, rear parking assist, and pedestrian emergency braking and blind spot monitoring.
