2023 Chrysler Town & Country
The 2023 Chrysler Town & Country is a minivan manufactured and marketed by Chrysler. All Dodge Ram 1500 Plug-in Hybrids and 2023 Chrysler Town & Country plug-in hybrids distributed by the program have been recalled for damage caused to three separate pickup trucks when their 12.9 kWh battery packs were overheated. The automaker plans to upgrade its battery packs with cells that use different lithium-ion chemistry before the vehicles are back in service.

The 2023 Town & Country offers a nice amount of storage, with 33 cubic feet behind the rearmost seats and a total maximum of 143.8 cubic feet. The full-hand loading is also child’s play with the standard electric tailgate. The Town AND Country Chrysler has a curb weight of 2110 kg and a gross vehicle weight rating of 2744 kg pounds, and measures just under 17 feet from bumper to bumper.

The interior of the Chrysler Town & Country boasts an elegant design, excellent soundproofing, and mostly quality materials. There’s plenty of room in the front row of this seven-seater van. Second and third-row seats are suitable for children, but adults may not be as comfortable in the back rows on long journeys. The low floor and power sliding rear doors make it easy to get in and out of the rear seat passengers. Row 2 of Town & Country comes with two full sets of LATCH anchors. A third set is located in the middle seat of the third row. The LATCH system received the second-highest Acceptable rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

Compared to competing minivans, the Town & Country comes with many standard features, a 6.5-inch touchscreen, a six-speaker audio system, satellite radio, Bluetooth, and two USB ports. The complex menu structure of the system makes it difficult to make some settings. There’s a good mix of physical and touchscreen buttons, but for some these can be difficult to reach. Choose a used model with a second and third-row dual-screen entertainment system to keep the entire crew entertained.

A standard 283 horsepower V6 engine provides more than enough power for Town and Country, even with a full load of passengers and cargo. Town & Country has precise steering and excellent maneuverability for a van. Although it handles turns well enough, it can be too much body tilt to your liking. The Chrysler has a flexible ride on smooth surfaces, but its ride can be rough on bumpy roads. Fuel economy in Town & Country is below the class average, with 17 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.
2023 Chrysler Town & Country : Safety
Chrysler Town & Country scored the highest Good in four of the five crash tests conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. However, it scored the lowest Poor rating in the small overlap preliminary test, which measures how well a vehicle protects occupants in a collision with an object, such as a telephone pole or the corner of another vehicle. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave Town and Country an overall rating of four out of five, outpacing it by about half the class. All 2023 Town & Country models are equipped with a rearview camera. Advanced safety features available include blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors. Some of the latest features such as forward collision warning and adaptive cruise control are not available in Town & Country.
