2025 Dodge Challenger
The 2025 Dodge Challenger is a popular American muscle car produced by the Dodge division of Stellantis (formerly Fiat Chrysler Automobiles). The 2025 Dodge Challenger is available in five main trim levels: SXT, GT, R/T, R/T Scat Pack, and SRT Hellcat. However, you have many options for these decorations. All-wheel drive is available on SXT and GT trims; R/T Scat Pack and SRT Hellcats are available in widebody configuration. Dodge Challenger models are equipped with high-tech features such as touch-screen infotainment systems, smartphone integration, and driver assistance features.
Dodge will happily oblige with the big-hitter Challenger SRT Hellcat. The regular Challenger V-8 sound and relatively comfortable ride will be enough to trigger nostalgic feelings for the old Dodge pony cars with which it shares its namesake. The Dodge Challenger carries special commemorative plaques under the hood to mark the current generation’s final model year, and Dodge will offer popular colors from the car’s history, including Plum Crazy, B5 Blue, and Sublime Green. The Plus package upgrades the interior with ambient lighting, faux-suede seat inserts, and much nicer materials on the instrument panel and doors. Dodge Challenger 2025 also requires the Driver Convenience Group, which provides blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, power mirrors, and high-intensity-discharge headlights.
2025 Dodge Challenger : Interior
The 2025 Challenger’s interior features a classic muscle car interior, with a simple design and comfortable accommodations inspired by its 1970s predecessors. Compared to its pony car rivals, the Dodge is much more spacious inside, and adults can use the back seat. Unfortunately, its rubberized materials resemble old vinyl rather than premium plastic, and rear visibility is terrible. Every Challenger features a version of Dodge’s easy-to-use Uconnect infotainment system.
The feature-packed unit includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration as standard equipment. Want to remove the LED? Listen to Jimmy Page’s chilling guitar riffs with one of two optional Alpine audio systems or the creamy 900-watt, 18-speaker Harman/Kardon setup. The 2025 Dodge Challenger Hellcat can carry five people and is among the best in its class for passenger accommodation. The front seats are wide and comfortable, but they don’t have as much side support as seats in other muscle cars. Tall people can comfortably sit in the wide second row for long periods. Three complete sets of LATCH connectors are available for the Challenger’s rear seats.
All three sets of lower anchors are located deep within the seats, when folding the rear seats, the advantage increases to six. The Challenger has a large compartment in the center console and a handy spot for a smartphone. The trunk of this Dodge is 16.2 cubic feet, which is pretty big for a sports car. Even though the opening is large, the high bumper can make it difficult to lift heavy items in or out.
2025 Dodge Challenger : Engine
Dodger powered by a 305-hp V-6, the Challenger is a modest engine mated only to an eight-speed automatic, lacking the acceleration and excitement of rivals. Those looking to maximize the Challenger’s potential will want the 6.4-liter V-8, which produces 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. However, compared to the sharper and firmer handling of the Camaro and Mustang, the Challenger is very soft in tight turns and its steering is very numb. The slow-response rudder is well-suited for slow drives and easily controlled powered tail skids.
The rear-wheel-drive, V-6-powered Dodge Challenger is estimated to earn 19 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. Adding all-wheel drive to the mix drops those figures by 1 and 3 mpg, respectively. Challengers with the 5.7-liter V-8 are expected to earn up to 16 mpg in the city and on the highway. Versions with the 6.4-liter V-8 are rated up to 15 mpg city and 24 highway. In the test, the all-wheel-drive V-6 Challenger and the one with the 485-hp V-8 and automatic transmission on our 75-mph real-world route, are part of our comprehensive testing regimen.
2025 Dodge Challenger : Safety
Neither the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety have crash-tested the Dodge Challenger at the time of this writing. 2025 Dodge Challenger SRT standard and available driver assistance and basic safety features include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high-beam headlights rearview camera, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.
