2024 Fiat 500C Abarth
The 2024 Fiat 500C Abarth is a performance variant to be launched in 2023, by Fiat. The 2023 Fiat 500C Abarth features alloy wheels with unique scorpion emblems. The modern design of the 500 Abarth electric is a further evolution of the model’s appearance and features a more modern interior with an improved infotainment system. The new 500 is equipped with an 85 kW fast charging system and takes 5 minutes to charge, enough to travel 50 kilometers (31 miles). The fast charger can charge the battery to 80% in just 35 minutes.
Like the MINI, the 500 has been successful enough since its rebirth almost a decade ago to spawn a series of cars that includes the much larger Fiat 500L MPV and the Nissan Juke rival Fiat 500X crossover – the first of which expands the 500’s retro near breaking point identity. Meanwhile, the Fiat 500C convertible adds a touch of fresh air to the already fun package, while the Abarth 595 hot hatch adds a burst of adrenaline to the 500’s frothy cappuccino.
2023 Fiat 500C Abarth : Interior
The interior is similar to the Volkswagen Golf GTI or Honda Civic Si. The driving position may not suit everyone, and the steering wheel adjusts for tilt but does not engage. Setting above the 500 range means the Abarth comes standard with plenty of equipment, including a 5.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, rear parking sensors, digital instrument cluster, and racy aluminum covers for the pedals. Automatic climate control, heated front seats, SiriusXM satellite radio, leather upholstery, in-dash navigation, and a sunroof are optional features.
The 2023 Fiat 500 is the first city car with level 2 autonomous driving and the first FCA car equipped with the new UConnect 5 infotainment system. ADAS systems include Autonomous Emergency Brakes with pedestrian and cyclist detection; Intelligent Speed Assistant; Lane Control; Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Centering; and Emergency Call. The Android-based UConnect 5 infotainment system is displayed on the 10.25-inch (26 cm) touchscreen. Abarth has Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity and automatic calling to emergency services, and can also be used to monitor the car remotely using a smartphone app.
2023 Fiat 500C Abarth : Engine
The Fiat 500C Abarth has a single electric traction motor that produces 114 kW (153 hp) and 235 N⋅m (173 lbf⋅ft), increasing 26.7 kW (35.8 hp) and 15 N⋅m (11 lbf⋅ft). 2023 Abarth 500c is above the standard engine and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7 seconds. Three riding modes will be available: Turismo, Scorpion Street, and Scorpion Track; Output power and torque are limited to 100 kW (130 hp) and 220 N⋅m (160 lbf⋅ft) in the Turismo, while the Street maximizes regenerative braking by simulating the engine braking effect of a conventional car equipped with a manual transmission. Follow the range of sacrifices for performance. In builder testing at Balocco, the Abarth New 500 can complete laps 1 second faster than the Abarth 695. It is possible to charge the Abarth New 500 up to 85 kW, which is an improvement over the regular New 500; The Abarth is equipped with a larger 42 kWh battery.
2023 Fiat 500C Abarth : Safety
The Fiat 500 owners don’t seem too impressed with the city car’s reliability, and its safety rating is below average. The 500e received 4 stars from Euro NCAP in 2021 in its standard European configuration. Fiat has had a reputation for poor reliability for years, and it looks like they’re trying to get over that. The original Fiat 500 received a maximum five-star safety rating in Euro NCAP crash tests. The least reasonable amount of safety equipment is fitted as standard. All models feature anti-lock brakes to reduce wheel spin, seven airbags, and electronic stability management, as well as a hill, hold assist and hydraulic brake assist to assist in emergency stops.
