2024 Fiat 500L
The 2024 Fiat 500L is a car manufactured by Fiat under the joint venture of FCA Serbia. The 2024 Fiat 500L Trekking is best if you want a small wagon or crossover with a bit of style and utility, the Kia Soul, Mazda CX-3, and Nissan Kicks are much better choices. The FIAT 500L offers some serious cargo space, recommend this oddly proportioned wagon.

Fiat driving in traffic is a chore, as acceleration is heavy, and when the road clears you still have to put up with the uncoordinated driving and handling of the Fiat. Interior trim is cheap and you can’t get modern driver assistance aids like blind spot monitoring or adaptive cruise control. The trim levels offered for the Fiat 500L, the trim levels are similar, to the Trekking or Urbana trim versions, with leather upholstery, heated seats, and 17-inch wheels.

The lounge has a few more standard features, including waist adjustment and rear parking sensors, but these are optional on Trekking. Curious drivers will be similarly disappointed by the 500L’s handling. Squeezed into a corner, the long body of the wagon leans heavily and the steering doesn’t provide enough feedback for lively driving, although the steering responds fairly quickly to driver inputs.

Inside, rear-seat passengers will find ample room to lie down in the Fiat 500L’s cabin, although the seats themselves provide little support. Large windows provide an excellent exterior view. An available panoramic sunroof provides an airy feel, but if you’re taller than 1.80 you should skip this option. A cargo capacity of 22 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 68 cubic feet, when folded, is impressive for this class. Cheap materials are the main disappointment with the 500L, and we found poor build quality in our test vehicles.

All 2023Fiat 500L models come with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment interface with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration. A Beats sound system is standard on all but the basic Pop hardware, where it’s optional. Trekking, Urbana, and Lounge models have an in-dash navigation system. It has a USB port with data transfer/charging capability.
2024 Fiat 500L : Engine
The Fiat 500L is equipped with a 160-hp turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine. A six-speed automatic transmission drives the front wheels; four-wheel drive is not available. On our test track, the Fiat 500L delivered 8.0 seconds in our test from zero to 60 mph. Fuel economy is well below average for this class, as the EPA rates the Fiat 500L at 22 mpg city/30 mpg highway. It’s on our 200-mile highway fuel-economy test route at 31 mpg.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has not published crash test ratings on the Fiat 500L, IIHS has tested this little wagon. Fiat 500L earned Good scores in the moderately overlapping front and side crash tests but scored poorly in the Institute’s small overlapping frontal crash test. Fiat offers rear parking sensors and more advanced driver assistance features such as automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, or adaptive cruise control the 2024 Fiat 500L. Competitors offer these features and the Kia Soul can even be equipped with a lane-keeping assistant. Key security features include a rear camera and rear parking sensors.
