2025 Fiat 500x
The 2025 Fiat 500X is a subcompact crossover SUV manufactured and marketed by Stellantis (formerly Fiat Chrysler Automobiles). The Fiat 500X is closely related to the Jeep Renegade. The 500X is better as a commuter car, even if its fuel economy is only average. The 2025 Fiat 500X comes with a semi-retractable sunroof and comes standard with a small 177-hp four-cylinder engine and all-wheel drive.

The cute retro design makes the 500X stand out among more traditionally styled small SUVs like the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Kona, and Mazda CX-30, but all of these subcompact alternatives drive better. Some are more practical, as the 2023 500X’s small rear seats and cramped cargo space limit its usefulness. The Fiat 500X series has been reduced to just two models this year.
2025 Fiat 500x Car
The rugged-looking Trekking and Trekking Plus have been discontinued, and the nautical-themed Yacht Club Capri has made its bow after just a year in Fiat showrooms. That leaves the basic Pop and stylish Sport trims. The Sport’s available 19-inch wheels give the 500X a nice stance, and the interior details are tasteful and worth the cost over the standard Pop model.

Inside, the quality of the 2025 500X’s interior materials is far from best-in-class, and passenger space is tight. The controls are well laid out and the riding position should accommodate a variety of body shapes and sizes. Fiat also has an attractive cabin, especially the Sport version with its raised seats and stylish design details. A 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment interface with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is standard on every Fiat 500X. The factory navigation system and upgraded Beats audio system are optional on the Sport. Each 500X has two USB charging ports at the bottom of the center console.
2025 Fiat 500x : Engine
All Fiat 500X 2025 models come with a 177-horsepower turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine. A 9-speed auto transmission and all-wheel drive are standard. The all-wheel-drive system has three driver-selectable settings to optimize traction in changing conditions. All models come with 17-inch aluminum wheels except the Sport model, which has standard 18s and 19-inch wheels. Regardless of trim level, the 500X is not the fastest crossover in this class, nor is it the most fun to drive. The Fiat’s suspension is comfortable for highway cruising but loses its stability on twisty back roads. Fuel economy is so-so for a small crossover, as the EPA rates the Fiat 500X at 24 mpg city and 30 mpg highway. In test results, 500x gets a chance to drive the 500X on our 75-mph highway fuel economy route.
2025 Fiat 500x : Safety
Fiat 500X opting for the Advanced Driver Assistance Group package adds a host of driver-assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. The 500X’s crash test results will be available at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites. Key safety features include blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alerts, lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, and lane departure warning.
