2025 Hyundai Elantra
The 2025 Hyundai Elantra or 2025 Hyundai Avante is a compact car produced by the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai. The Hyundai Elantra 2025 is available in five major trim levels: SE, SEL, N Line, Limited, and N. The high-performance 2025 Hyundai Elantra stands out with superior fuel economy, impressive technology and safety features, and a spacious cabin. The 2025 Elantra is comfortable and powerful for its price, making it a great choice for a small car.
The Hyundai compact car has been modified to look sharper at the front, with exterior lights and new wheels. Several new colors are available, including Exotic Green and Ultimate Red. The Hyundai Elantra’s cabin is spacious for its size, and an available hybrid powertrain adds to the Elantra’s fuel efficiency. Lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert now warn the driver with haptic pulses on the steering wheel. The base powertrain is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder, but the N-Line model comes with a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that provides more flavor. Despite this, no Elantra model raises the steering wheel. The Elantra’s handling is less exciting than rivals such as the Honda Civic and Mazda 3, both of which offer sharper steering and a more agile feel.
2025 Hyundai Elantra : Interior
Inside, the 2024 Elantra does not have much luxurious interior in its class, but it’s comfortable and well-built. The Elantra instrument panel and center console surround the driver, while the passenger side takes up very little space. A single row of LEDs follows the dashboard’s vent across the width of the car, from the steering column to the passenger’s side door panel. Passenger space is generous, especially in the back seat, which helps the Elantra compete with bigger rivals like the Sentra and Volkswagen Jetta. However, it is not as luxurious as it looks in the pictures; There’s a lot of hard plastic inside, which isn’t surprising at this price point. In testing, the Elantra 2025 fit six pieces of cargo in its trunk.
An optional 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster is elbow-touch and a second 10.3-inch infotainment touchscreen juts out from the top of the Elantra’s dashboard. The standard infotainment system consists of an 8.0-inch central screen and analog indicators for the instrument cluster. Hyundai’s latest infotainment interface, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, as is Wi-Fi connectivity, voice recognition allows the driver to adjust things like climate control or heated seats by simply saying certain phrases.
2025 Hyundai Elantra : Engine
Elantra Hybrid is powered with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates a less-than-exciting 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque under the hood of the SE and SEL models. Choosing the sportier N Line model reduces displacement to 1.6 liters and adds a turbocharger, delivering 201 horsepower and 195 pounds of torque. Hybrid models also use a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine but paired with an electric motor instead of a turbo, making less horsepower than the base engine at 139 but more torque at 195 pound-feet, this is the same as the previous model. N Line.
The base SE and SEL’s 2.0-liter engine is mated to a CVT, while N Line, Blue Hybrid, and Limited Hybrid models are equipped with a DCT (dual-clutch transmission). Of note, the N Line gets a seven-speed DCT compared to the hybrid’s six-speed DCT. So far, the hot enthusiast’s choice in the Elantra lineup is the performance-oriented N, which we’ll review separately. However, those who can’t argue that with the car’s price might consider the tamer N Line model.
In our testing, the Hyundai Elantra’s 0-60 mph time was 8.1 seconds, while the Elantra hybrid’s 0-60 mph time was 8.4 seconds. Those looking for higher performance will want to look at the faster Elantra N model. The EPA estimates that the 2.0-liter four-cylinder Elantra will achieve up to 33 mpg in the city and 42 mpg on the highway. Elantraa 2025 models with the 1.6-liter turbocharged four are rated up to 28 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway. The most economical Elantra hybrid is rated at 53 mpg in the city and 56 mpg on the highway. On our 75 mph freeway route, which is part of our extensive testing program, the Elantra hybrid got a result of 48 mpg, while the non-hybrid Limited with the base engine got 38 mpg.
2025 Hyundai Elantra : Safety
The Hyundai Elantra earned the highest rating of Good in four crash tests and for how well the car’s headlights illuminate the road. The Elantra received the highest rating of Superior for standard front crash prevention systems. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the Hyundai four out of five stars in the frontal crash test and five stars in the rollover test. 2025 Hyundai Elantra Safety features include a rearview camera, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, driver monitoring, cyclist detection, lane departure warning with lane keep assist, rear seat warning, and automatic height, headlights, rear parking sensors, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, exit safety warning, rear collision warning, and highway driving assist.
