The 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a battery-electric compact crossover SUV made by Hyundai. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is the first product to be marketed under the Ioniq brand focused on electric vehicles and is the first model to be developed on the Hyundai Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). All models except the SE Standard Series can be had with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The rear-wheel drive Ioniq 5 uses a single electric motor located on the rear axle.
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 stands out with its retro-themed styling and premium electric vehicle design. The Ioniq 5 is comfortable, functional, and generously equipped. The Ioniq 5’s 350 kW DC fast charging capability is a true hero. This is the kind of charging speed you can find in luxury and expensive EVs like the Porsche Taycan and Lucid Air. With more rear passenger space than the Ford Mustang Mach-E and Volkswagen ID.4, the Ioniq 5 is an easy first step to EV ownership.
2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 : Interior
The interior of the Ioniq 5 is a place of technology, with a digital instrument panel and a heavy dose of eco-friendly materials. An augmented reality head-up display that can display navigation directions on the windshield is one of the amazing features. The compact crossover also benefits from an all-electric installation with a completely flat floor for maximum passenger and cargo space. The front seats also recline and feature recliners so people can relax while the Ioniq 5 charges. With longer wheelbases than the three-row Hyundai Palisade, the 5 has ample front and rear passenger space. Its large center console has plenty of storage space and slides back and forth between the front seats in the limited top trims.
The 12.0-inch touchscreen shares the dash panel with the 12.0-inch digital instrument cluster, but the former serves as the hub for all entertainment-related items. This includes voice recognition software, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Unfortunately, smartphone integration from Apple and Android requires cables.
