2023 Lamborghini Sian
The 2023 Lamborghini Sian is a mid-engine hybrid sports car produced by the Italian automotive manufacturer Lamborghini. Hidden beneath the 2023 Lamborghini Sián‘s dramatic hexagonal body and multiple air intakes is a hybridized V-12 drivetrain that uses 808 horsepower. That’s right, this hypercar is a hybrid. Basically a heavily modified version of the aging Aventador, this exotic comes in coupe and roadster form, and Lambo limited its production to a meager 82 copies.
The Lamborghini Sian is a new limited edition Lamborghini that seeks to bridge the gap between the outgoing Aventador and the model that will soon replace it. The Lamborghini 2023 Sian exterior features the wedge shape, the trademark of renowned car designer Marcello Gandini, and blends it with the design of the Terzo Millennio concept introduced two years ago.
The Y-shaped daytime running lights draw inspiration from the Terzo Millennio while creating an active fixed rear wing downforce at the rear with “63” embossed on the winglets to honor the company’s founding year. The transparent ‘Peroscopio’ glass panel extends from the center of the roof and returns to the slatted bonnet, providing light and visibility for passengers, and the six hexagonal taillights are inspired by the 2023 Lamborghini Countach.
Along with the fin, active cooling fins are used at the rear, activated by an intelligent heat-reactive material. When a certain temperature is reached, the blades rotate for extra airflow. The interior is heavily based on that of the Aventador, but the center console has been tweaked and the vertical touchscreen, first seen on the Huracán Evo, is one of the key differences. The leather upholstery was made by the Italian furniture company Poltrona Frau and for the first time 3D printed parts were used in the interior.
2023 Lamborghini Sian : Interior
Inside the 2023 Sian, it stays true to its exotic nature as every surface is covered with high-end materials. Of course, Lamborghini allows customers to customize the interior to their liking. The driver is faced with a fully digital instrument cluster and a buttonless steering wheel with massive shifters. The center console contains physical controls for the air conditioning system, selectable drive modes, and other auxiliary functions. While the Sián has a glove box, it lacks cup holders and small storage spaces. The Sian has a vertically oriented infotainment touchscreen and we suspect it has Apple CarPlay capability and Amazon Alexa integration. A more powerful sound system than a standard stereo is likely available at an extra cost.
2023 Lamborghini Sian : Engine
Lamborghini Sian is powered by an electrically assisted 6.5-liter V-12 mounted in the middle of the car, the all-wheel drive 2021 Sián produces a total of 808 horsepower. This makes it the most powerful Lamborghini production ever. On its own, the naturally aspirated V-12 provides a hefty 774 horses. Complementing the engine is a 48-volt electric motor that adds 34 horses and is integrated into the car’s seven-speed automated manual transmission. While the Lambo cannot run on electricity alone as other hybrid hypercars like the 2023 Ferrari SF90 Stradale and McLaren Artura can, its hybrid system helps with low-speed maneuvers. Despite its hybrid drivetrain, the Sián remains aggressive towards the environment. The EPA estimates that the electric-assisted V-12 will consume 8 mpg in the city and 14 mpg on the highway.
2023 Lamborghini Sian : Safety
The Sián lacks the driver assistance technology that less unusual cars offer. Due to its exotic nature and limited production, the 2023 Lamborghini Sian not be crash-tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
