The interior of the S680 is a haven of comfort and luxury. The Maybach S-Class rides on a seven-inch longer wheelbase than Benz’s already large S-Class sedan, offering more room in the leather-trimmed cabin. Almost every interior of all Mercedes Maybach S680 models will be equipped with fine leather, an interior lighting system in 64 colors, heated and ventilated front seats with massage and memory in four positions, heated rear seats with electric adjustment and massage, air ionization system with a characteristic smell, and panoramic roof. The V-12 in the S680 is even more impressive, propelling the big Maybach to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds in our test. Air suspension and active noise cancellation are standard on the new model, giving the car a smoother and quieter ride. The S-Class also offers rear-wheel steering, which should help maneuver this large sedan through tight city streets. The EPA estimates the S580’s fuel economy is 16 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. Fuel economy ratings for the S680 are 12 mpg city and 21 mpg highway.
