2023 McLaren 675LT
The 2023 McLaren 675LT is a limited sports car manufactured by McLaren. Only 500 coupés will be produced. The 2023 McLaren 675LT is based on the McLaren 650S, and only 500 Spiders will manufacture. The 2023 McLaren 675LT is the most driver-focused, with additional custom-built supercar ever produced by McLaren. The McLaren 675LT is a lightweight, track-oriented evolution of the McLaren 650S.
Like McLaren 650S, the McLaren 675LT uses a 75 kg (165 lb) single-piece carbon fiber mono cell, with enhanced carbon fiber used in the vehicle to further reduce weight and increase rigidity. The McLaren 675LT is supplied with new carbon ceramic brake discs to improve braking performance compared to the McLaren 650S. Disc dimensions are 394mm at the front and 380mm at the rear. The six-piston calipers are used on the front discs and four-piston calipers are on the rear.
The McLaren 2023 675LT performance is also supported by the air braking feature of the new rear wing. The McLaren 675LT benefits from a new 10-spoke wheel design, each one 800g lighter than the alloy wheels on the McLaren P1 and supplied with 19-inch front and 20-inch rear fittings. The new wheels are covered with Pirelli P-Zero Trofeo R track-oriented, traffic-friendly tires that increase grip by up to 6% compared to the P-Zero Corsa sold with the McLaren 650S.
The carbon fiber parts include the front and rear bumpers, as well as the front lower tray, rear fenders, side air intakes, and tailgate, which contributes to significant weight savings over the 650S. Alcantra saves 26.5 kg (58 lb) in the interior, with the carpet removed and the air conditioning unit and new carbon fiber racing seats removed together. 1 millimeter thinner window glass reduces weight by another 3 kg (7 lb). McLaren’s focus on weight savings results in a dry weight of 1,230 kg (2,712 lb), which is near to 100 kg (220 lb) less than the McLaren 650S.
2023 McLaren 675LT : Interior
Inside, the 675LT is designed as a performance-oriented, weight-optimized standard. Comfortable yet purposeful racing seats save 15kg, while larger McLaren P1™-inspired rocker shift controls underline the McLaren 675LT’s performance references. With a low hood, the McLaren 675 LT’s design is much easy running on the road, the seats with light carbon trim look and feel great, and the driving position is spot on. Getting in and out is easy, and the ergonomic glitches that appeared in the early 12Cs have been eliminated. There is no air conditioning though and things are pretty sparse inside. Exactly as it should be, also feels wonderfully put together.
2023 McLaren 675LT : Engine
The McLaren 675 comes with a 3.8 L twin-turbocharged V8 engine rated at 675 PS (496 kW; 666 hp) at 7,100 rpm and 700 N⋅m (516 lb-ft) at 5,500 rpm. This is achieved with the addition of new lightweight connecting rods, a bespoke camshaft, an electronic recirculation valve, and a lightweight titanium exhaust with dual annular outlets. The engine also uses revised turbocharger compressor wheels and an optimized fuel pump. The 675LT uses the 7-speed automatic double-clutch transmission used in the 650S and has additional software that reduces shift time. The 675LT can accelerate from 0–100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.9 seconds, 0.1 seconds faster than the 650S. 0–200 km/h (124 mph) in 7.9 seconds, 0–300 km/h (186 mph) in 25.9 seconds, 0–322 km/h (200 mph) in 31.2 seconds, and 1.4 mph ( 402 m) sprinting in 10.3 seconds at 227.1 km/h (141.1 mph), continuing its recorded top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph).
