2025 Mercedes-AMG E53 : Interior
Inside, the Mercedes-AMG E53 interior is built with high-quality materials and a range of standard and optional luxury features. The sedan offers the same infotainment system as the other E-Class models from the Benz brand, including a digital display behind the steering wheel and a central display in the dashboard. The car also features advanced technologies such as in-car navigation with augmented reality and a range of connectivity options. The E53 follows the lead of the rest of the E-Class range by combining quality materials and precise assembly. Standard touches include an AMG steering wheel wrapped in Nappa leather, electrically adjustable AMG sports seats with AMG badging and red stitching up front, and, except for the E53, gray ash wood trim with Bright AMG logos.
Highly bolstered AMG Performance seats are available. The E53 has the same infotainment setup as the Benz-branded E-class sedans, including a dashboard covered with three separate screens. The Mercedes-AMG E53 includes a digital display for the car’s gauges behind the steering wheel and a separate screen in the middle of the infotainment panel. Mercedes-Benz includes some clever features, like a selfie camera and downloadable third-party apps from TikTok, Angry Birds, and Zoom. The Mercedes-AMG E53 is powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine producing 433 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque and a 161-horsepower electric motor. The total combined output is 577 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. The sedan comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission, all-wheel drive, and rear-wheel drive for efficient handling. As a plug-in hybrid, the E53 comes with an onboard battery that provides about 40 miles of driving range per charge. The battery pack has a capacity of 21.2 kWh and can be quickly charged using a 60 kW DC charger that can charge the battery from 10 percent to 80 percent in about 20 minutes.
Fuel economy estimates for the 2025 E53 are pending, but based on figures of 21/29 for the previous non-hybrid 2023 E53 and 22/31 for the 2024 Mercedes-Benz E450 with a mild hybrid powertrain based on the same line—it’s a safe bet that they’ll fall somewhere between the 20-30 mpg city and highway spectrum.
