2023 Mercedes-Benz B-Class
The 2023 Mercedes-Benz B-Class or 2023 Mercedes-AMG SL is a large touring sports car manufactured by Mercedes-Benz. The Mercedes-Benz B-Class is reasonable, roomy, and economical, but it lacks the stellar quality of Merc’s mechanically similar GLA SUV. Class B adds some power to the legendary three-pointed star, making for a truly exciting experience. B-Class can go up to 87 miles on a charge and gets a combined 84 MPGe, according to the EPA. In testing, it accelerated to 60 mph in 6.8 seconds.
The 2023 B-Class comes with a 177-hp electric motor that powered wheels. In just over two hours it can be charged at 240 volts for a range of 60 miles. 2023 Mercedes B-Class provided good to predominantly good protection for all occupants, including passengers of different body sizes and those sitting in different positions. The report observes good protection in all critical body areas during pre-balancing and good to adequate protection for front and rear passengers in the full-width rigid barrier test.
2023 Mercedes-Benz B-Class : Interior
Inside, the 2023 Mercedes-Benz B-Class each edition features two high-resolution 10.25-inch displays with linked navigation. This includes Mercedes cloud-based voice activation. It’s needs to understand natural language and learn your behavior, suggesting navigation destinations or radio stations based on your normal habits. The 2023 B-Class had an infotainment controller on its console, but that disappeared with the makeover. At least the hardware climate control switches have survived.
It’s probably the only other Mercedes-Maybach where backseat passengers have been so influential in buying. The B-Class is for people who don’t want a big car but have a long family. Grandchildren maybe. The base model has a sliding bench, which is useful for changing the ratio of legroom to luggage space. However, the disappeared AMG Line models are replaced by a fixed cushion and a 40:20:40 split backrest. Either way, it feels very roomy with the rear seat upright because there’s a lot of headroom and you can tuck your feet under the front seats.
2023 Mercedes-Benz B-Class : Engine
The Mercedes-Benz B-Class has 1 Diesel Engine and 1 Gasoline Engine offered. The diesel in the B-Class will be more suitable for longer-distance drivers, thanks to higher torque values suitable for overtaking, as well as more impressive fuel economy claims. The diesel range starts with the B 180 d, a 1.5-liter turbodiesel with 116 hp and 260 Nm of torque. This is the slowest car in the series, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 10.7 seconds. The car uses a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Next up is the 2.0-liter B 200 d producing 150hp and 320Nm of torque. This version will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds, while the more powerful 190hp and 400Nm B 220 d will do it in 7.2 seconds. These two more powerful types of diesel use an eight-speed automatic transmission.
2023 Mercedes-Benz B-Class : Safety
The B-Class yet not Euro NCAP tested, the A-Class scored incredibly well, except that the B-Class rating for adult occupant safety is similar to the Volvo XC40 and on par with the Volvo S60 and Volvo V60. The autonomous emergency braking (AEB) system performed well at low speeds where many neck impact injuries occurred. In the event of a pedestrian impact, the hood and bumper provided good to predominantly good protection, and the AEB can detect cyclists and pedestrians as well as cars. Reports show a high level of protection for passengers and vulnerable road users with the 2023 Mercedes-Benz B-Class, receiving a five-star safety rating.
