2022 Mitsubishi Outlander
The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander is a compact crossover Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) by Mitsubishi Motors. The Mitsubishi Outlander 2022 is a small SUV with three seats and seven seats. Outlander PHEV is sold in five decorative levels: ES, SE, SE Launch Edition, SEL, and SEL Launch Edition. The 2022 Outlander is completely new and introduces another generation of Mitsubishi compact crossover. In addition to more battery power and a larger electric motor than the previous generation, the Outlander with a plug is now compatible with the third line, which was not the case before. Outlander is powered by a 4-cylinder engine with 181 horsepower, connected to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).
Most trim have a standard wheel drive, optionally a full wheel drive. The only exclusion is the Launch Edition, which only comes in a full-wheel drive. The Outlander SEL Launch Edition combines the features of a four-wheel drive, SE Launch Edition, and SEL with a Touring package. The Mi-Pilot Assist is not available, but it has flexible cruise control. Despite the various desirable features, SEL is the best trim and is of dubious value, as its price matches the price of the most modern Mazda CX-5, which has repeatedly won the 10Best award. The Outlander features 20-inch sophisticated wheels, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wireless 9.0-inch touchscreen, armless power lift, wireless charging, and driver assistance. We would also opt for the Tech package, which includes a cluster of 12.3-inch digital gauges, a Bose audio system, and a panoramic roof covering the window.
Interestingly, the Mitsubishi 2022 Outlander is based on the Nissan Rogue, which is new for 2021, the two SUVs have the same engines and different mechanical properties. The Mitsubishi adds a unique twist to the car with a style inspired by the Land Rover and a third-row seat. The third row is very small, so something like a Honda Pilot would be a better choice if you need a three-row sedan SUV. Still, only a few small SUVs offer the third line, and that can help with the pinch. Outlander’s main competitors are the Nissan Rogue, Honda CR-V, Kia Sorento, and Volkswagen Tiguan.
2022 Mitsubishi Outlander : Interior
The Outlander 2022 has much better cabin materials than its predecessor. The interior accents and surfaces are not only of high quality, but the design finally has a modern look. Similarly, there is a modern content range that includes a cluster of 12.3-inch digital meters and a high-head display. While passengers in the first two rows enjoy more hips, legs, and space than the last-generation Outlander, its third row is not designed for people with legs. Another compact crossover with seven seats is the Volkswagen Tiguan, but unlike the Outlander, its extra seats are limited to models with front-wheel drive. The new Outlander will also increase cargo space, adding 1 cubic foot to the total volume behind the second cube and the third cube.
On the infotainment front, the new Outlander offers an 8.0 or 9.0-inch touchscreen, as a variant. Both devices have standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but only the latter allows users to connect their iPhones wirelessly. In addition to the charging ports on the bottom of the center stack, the system has hard buttons and physical buttons for volume and adjustment. Additional infotainment features include a 10-speaker Bose audio system, wireless device charging, and a subscription-based Mitsubishi Connect app that provides remote service.
2022 Mitsubishi Outlander : Engine
The 2022 Outlander is powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 181 horsepower and 181 pounds of torque. It is only connected to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). The front-wheel drive is the standard configuration, but the all-wheel drive is optional. Although the Outlander’s acceleration time is competitive with other compact crossovers, it feels less sensitive and lazy at car speeds, which is enhanced by its gear transmission. Compared to the Nissan Rogue, which is mechanically the same, the 2022 Outlander has a lower fuel economy. The all-wheel-drive Outlander is priced at 24 mpg city and 30 mph, but Rogue works a little better. We tested it on a highway with a fuel economy of 75 km / h, and Mitsubishi’s 26-megapixel result was 6 mpg less than Nissan’s.
2022 Mitsubishi Outlander : Safety
With driver assistance technology available, it can continue to control speed and get a semi-autonomous driving mode promptly, the Mitsubishi Outlander has an attractive service package. For information on the year-round crossover’s crash test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Administration (NHTSA) and the Road Services Insurance Institute (IIHS). The main safety 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander functions are blind tracking, off-line warning, emergency braking, congestion warning, lane holding, and forward handling warning service.
