The mid-range Formula offers all the gear and go-fast products in a more limited-looking, lighter, and more affordable package. The Firebird’s cockpit is a modern mix of style and capability, dual airbags and anti-lock brakes are standard, and optional traction control can be ordered on all models. There are also convertible versions of the Firebird and Trans Am to increase the price accordingly.

Inside, the interior of the Pontiac Firebird Trans Am was unlike any other, as muscle cars were designed in a modern style. Fireplaced outside the car is also drawn inside, to the doors. The interior is finished in dark gray and orange leather, which covers the adjustable and comfortable seats. Along with the retro design of the car, the manufacturer offered amazing modern devices that are controlled by the buttons on the dashboard of a modern design and a large touch screen located in the middle of it.

The 2024 Pontiac comes standard with an AM/FM radio, CD player, auxiliary input jack, and a four-speaker stereo. An upgrade to a premium sound system is available. Satellite radio and MP3 players are available on higher trim levels and newer vehicles. A hands-free communication system is included as standard on models and is optional with some trim packages on older cars.

The 2024 Trans Am’s standard 5.7-liter makes 305 horsepower and, most importantly, 335 pound-feet of tire-burning torque. A Ram Air WS6 performance and handling package is available for Formula Coupes and T/A’s, with dual hood scoops that feed cooler air into the engine, resulting in 15 extra ponies. All V8 models come standard with a four-speed automatic transmission; a six-speed manual is a free option. The base Firebirds is powered by a 3800 Series II V6 that makes 200 horsepower and can be optioned with a specific performance package. This “insurance special” includes larger tires, a limited-slip differential, dual exhaust, and premium handling. A smooth-shifting five-speed manual transmission is standard on the V6.
2024 Pontiac Firebird : Safety
The Pontiac Firebird standard features on all 2024 Firebirds include fog lights and daytime running lights for better visibility, as well as child safety locks. Driver and passenger airbags are also included, but side airbags are not standard on models built before 2009. Other features that were optional on previous versions but standard safety features include anti-lock braking and a traction system that helps prevent skidding when braking quickly, electronic stability control to control tire traction on slippery surfaces, and prevent rollover if the wheels lose traction.
