2023 Subaru Impreza
The 2023 Subaru Impreza is a compact car manufactured by the Japanese automaker Subaru. The 2023 Subaru Impreza is Subaru’s longstanding small sedan and hatchback that has served as the Japanese automaker’s smallest and most affordable model for years. The Impreza is spacious and provides extra traction in wet weather thanks to its standard all-wheel-drive system. The engine and transmission are somewhat disappointing. The 2023 Impreza’s flat-four engine delivers heavy acceleration regardless of the gearbox, but stick shifting is imprecise and not something endorsed.
Subaru is making the smallest changes to its Impreza lineup for 2023. Alongside the new Sapphire Blue Pearl paint, the premium Limited trim is now only available in the hatchback body style. 2023 Impreza comes standard with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters, heated front seats, an array of driver assistants, and an advanced infotainment system that includes SiriusXM satellite radio, an extra USB port, and integrated smartphone apps.
The option-only package is also worth adding, as it provides rear cross-traffic alert, passive hands-free entry and push-button start, blind-spot monitoring with an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, and sunroof. There are other options that tick these boxes while offering better performance, such as the Mazda3 and Subaru WRX. The completely redesigned Honda Civic is the bulk of the overall package you can find, and while the Toyota Corolla is far from sexy, it’s a great value.
2023 Subaru Impreza : Interior
The Subaru Impreza 2023 has a well-built cabin and its interior looks fresh and modern. The Subaru Impreza comes to in-car tech, the Impreza doesn’t disappoint. It’s easy to learn thanks to the clear menu structure of both the standard 6.5-inch touchscreen and the optional 8-inch touchscreen. The infotainment system displays sharp graphics and responds quickly to your inputs. Additionally, the cabin benefits from soft-touch plastics, comfortable armrests, and impressive fit and finish. Passenger volume is competitive in its class, and taller drivers will appreciate the model’s ample front-seat legroom. Cargo spaces on both the Impreza sedan and hatchback are on the smaller side of the class, and there isn’t a whole lot of room in the cabin to stash small personal items.
The Subaru Impreza’s large clearly marked controls for things like air conditioning and volume control are within easy reach of the driver. The center console also features dedicated physical buttons for infotainment shortcuts such as access to the radio, home screen, and smartphone apps. Every Impreza includes key infotainment features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The Basic and Premium models have a 6.5-inch touchscreen, while the Sport and Limited trims are equipped with an 8.0-inch unit. Both systems have logical menu structures and clear graphics.
2023 Subaru Impreza : Engine
The 2023 Impreza is a rabbit-class turtle with a four-cylinder engine that produces 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. All-wheel drive is of course standard. Both the sedan and hatchback require significant thrust to keep the engine in place to generate power, with some low-end punch. The Impreza strikes a near-perfect balance between ride and handling. The body does not bend in turns and the fast steering gives the compact car an additional sense of liveliness. Pick any 2023 Impreza with a CVT and you’ll be pleased with the fuel economy. Opt for the manual transmission though, and you’ll visit your local gas station more often. The most efficient Impreza gains 28 mpg city and 36 mpg highway, according to the EPA; The least efficient model, a hatchback with a manual transmission – is rated for 22 mpg city and 30 mpg highway. Our manual-equipped Impreza Sport sedan managed 30 mpg in our real-world highway fuel-economy test.
